Lovely gothic architecture and an interesting elegant (but somewhat over-rated in my opinion) astronomical clock. The hourly "pageant" of the apostles is brief and it's a good job it's free. But the square has a lovely European ambiance. Remeniscent of Germany and Austria, and not unlike Spain if you forget the millions of cobbles! It's a very nice space. I didn't eat there as I was warned all the eateries and bars are seriously over-priced compared to backstreet ones, but the restaurant terraces did look inviting and good for people-watching; and plenty of horse-drawn carriages too.

It was within a busy area of people but the beauty in and around the bridge was lovely. Many shops and stalls along the way or near. A free visit with lots to offer.

This is the centerpiece of the castle grounds, and a must for all visitors. Make sure you get your tickets next door then brave the long lines to get in the expansive and enchanting space.

Get tickets that will cover most of the attractions at the castle and explore. There are several places that we did not go into, but most were fantastically interesting. Want a giant room where they used to actually joust? Check! How about the adorable Golden Lane with houses that are microscopic? Yep. Work your way down and you'll even be treated to a torture chamber.

Walking over the magnificent Charles Bridge which connects the Old Town to Lesser Town is something I love doing on any trip to Prague I take, also known as Mala Strana ,it's probably the oldest part of this fantastic Bohemian city .
The architecture in this beautiful district is jaw dropping, period buildings, ancient churches ,twisting cobblestoned streets packed with amazing pubs, bars and restaurants ,it's a great area to explore and get lost in ,I've been coming to Prague for close to 30 years and I still find new things to check out ,it's a wonderful, vibrant district to visit and most certainly well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Prague.

Pretty walk around the park. Great views and I bet it’s spectacular in summer. Easy to reach by public transport. Play park for kids. Few cafes but you have to pay to use toilets

Worth a visit inside the town hall. You can see the back of the clock and all the figures close up. The view from the top of the tower is spectacular, we were blessed with good weather so the view was clear.

Walking along the riverbank of the meandering Vltava River in the New Town I viewed Lobkowicz Palace and although I didn't visit the palace complex I have on previous visits to Prague and it's well worth it,the palace itself is the only privately owned building in the Castle District .
Constructed in the second half of the 16th century between 1528-1569 by Jaroslav of Perstejn and completed by his brother Vlatislav Of Perstejn,it's such an eye catching building ,I love the look of this palace building, love the history attached to it ,it's one of the most popular tourist attractions in Prague and if you're planning on visiting this beautiful Bohemian city a must go destination.

Pretty cool looking status in Praha. The color, material and shapes it takes. The movement occurs the first 15 minutes of every hour

The Municipal House has a small but beautiful collection of Mucha’s designs and artworks on display above the concert hall. However, it should be noted that these are primarily lithographs, in case people are very concerned with only seeing originals. The moving displays of his works are quite breath-taking, particularly the display of the Slav Epic.

After coming off the bridge and emerging through the tower, you are soon greeted by a view of the church, and it is really impressive... Lovely to see

Probably the most beautiful synagogue around. Not to be missed. Part of the Jewish multi purpose ticket.

The Hradcany District is without a shadow of a doubt the most popular destination in Prague ,it's the Castle District ,the famous Prague Castle is one of the largest in the world but there's more to this district than just the castle ,there's innumerable palace buildings, great churches such as St Vitus Cathedral ,the architecture is so good ,red tiled buildings proliferate the district ,walking down the famous Nerudova Street is superb ,great building on both sides of this street, part of the castle complex takes in sections of Petrin Hill ,it's full of pubs, bars and restaurants and lots of retail outlets ,all in all it's a great area of the city to explore.

If you know the story of the Czech paratroopers, this is a must. If you don't read about it and then go here.

The appeal of this cathedral lies not in its physical beauty, but rather in its history, a history inextricably connected to Operation Anthropoid WW2.

The generosity of this cathedral in providing a sanctuary - albeit a temporary sanctuary - for the paratroopers involved in Operation Anthropoid is what makes this cathedral beautiful.
