The bar has a lovely vibe and offers over 100 types of absinth including various amazing cocktails. The menu includes alternative options for those who do not like absinth. The staff were really charming, friendly and welcoming. There was a live pianist on our first night which created a lovely atmosphere. Albeit it was a while ago, December 2022 rather than 2023, but we had such a good time here. Drinks were reasonably priced and drink variety was what you would expect. Would recommend. Frequented mainly by locals, but some tourists come to it as well as there’s the Czech Inn nearby. The service was always with a smile, and a great variety of cocktails whether you like classic ones or new ones. The bar is well stocked, so you’ll never be disappointed in finding a drink for yourself.

We found it via Yelp app ratings.
Half of the patrons drink only. The other half also order food. There are only 12 tables and one large group table with several areas for standing room / bar only. As a result, when they have advanced reservations, the number of available walk-in tables can be few - so keep this in mind if you are planning to go during peak dinner hours.
The service is quick which is good and bad. The food comes out quick, but the waiter just wants to quickly seat you, serve you bread, take your order, and get you to pay. No small talk. No welcome. Not even bothering to push the specials of the day. But both times we went for dinner, the server did take the time to emphasize in a very slow and deliberate manner - when delivering the check to us - that the “service tip was not included in the price”. I felt this was a bit insulting given how transactional ALL the waiters were throughout the meal. And so we just tipped 10% which I felt was MORE than generous. If they want a 15% tip, I do expect them to at least ask me how my meal was OR at least say “welcome” and/ or “thank you” for dining with us.
Nevertheless, the duck dish was good and the portion was generous. It's situated in the basement of a huge building. Nice and friendly place where you can have some pizza snack too. Pianist playing added to the ambience of this absolutely stunning art deco interior. Everywhere you look its amazing workmanship of its era beautifully preserved. Drinks we good, so went back next night for dinner. Food and service excellent, and then called in next afternoon for coffee and cake. This is the best small bar in Prague that I have been to , and I have been here many times.
