Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Amy19 contributionsWhat an experience for my partner’s birthday! We’ve done many wine tours and this one was exceptional!! Brian was so laid back, yet knowledgable and personable. He made the whole experience so memorable and fantastic! Lunch at The Zin House then added to what soon became a perfect day. We will recommend Lowe Estate to anyone venturing
to Mudgee!
The views from this vineyard were out of this world, such a beautiful part of Australia 😍Written 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JnVSydneyGreater Sydney, Australia23,353 contributionsThe walk was stunning after the rains, although a Grade 4 track - which almost put us off. Turns out we are fitter than we figured and we were there and back in no time - it being a Monday we had the place almost to ourselves and the peace and tranquility was divine as we meandered under the towering sandstone formations and along the track until we reached a 100% natural vertical garden - with lots of drips adding to the effect. We’d planned ahead for these sort of outings during the visit and brought two drink/food thermoses (thermi?) with us. Had our coffees and a couple of treats from the mudgee markets, and saw 2 gorgeous birds - the Superb Fairy Wren (or more simply but still superb, a Blue Wren) and a Yellow Robin - seriously beautiful the pair of them. It’s not that either of us are bird watchers generally speaking - but they grow on you… especially when they are brightly coloured, unusual and a bit of a change from the pigeons, seagulls and cockatoos of the inner city. as it turns out this is an easy must do walk, there was no one around during our visit, also perfect time of year as it is so cool, highly recommend to visit just after rain, to fully appreciate the dripping.Written 1 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Inspire617036616671 contributionHad a great experience with the food pairing. The owners know a lot about wine and it’s more authentic than some of the other larger cellars. Highly recommend.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lorraine MSydney, Australia217 contributionsLovely outlook, extremely well maintained gardens etc. Staff very friendly and know their wines. Wines were nice and we walked away with a few bottles. - Sean Lomas9 contributionsDunns Swamp is pure heaven on earth. I loved every moment of it. The campsite is beautifully laid out with lots of toilets easily accessible. We took a kayak and really enjoying the water was the big highlight.
One thing to look out for are the Possums. Cook away from your campsite and keep food smells to a bare minimum, if any.
We had them all over the site on the first night after leaving a pot with Curry smell for the mornings washup. I will never do that again! Once we had taken this precaution we had only 2/3 on the second night, one jumped on top of the double swag, scared the life out of my partner (me really 🤣).
Still the best place to go to, loved it, highly recommended.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DaisySydney, Australia31 contributionsFrom the moment you step foot into the wine tasting area with the huge casks you know this will be good. We were walk ins and were made very welcome. A standard flight of six wines personally chosen by us and attended to by two lovely staff. Would recommend! Looked after by two very friendly and bubbly female staff. Made me feel welcome.

The wines are still varied across reds, whites and a fortified. The lady on the bar was very informative and a wealth of information on Mudgee and its wines.
Unfortunately with a small car and heading towards Brisbane with al the luggage, would have loved to buy a dozen but couldn't. Still took away a delightful liqueur port.

- Lorraine LTarwin Lower, Australia3,581 contributionsWe were going to do a tasting but on arrival thought of just buying a bottle of their excellent sparkling wine and taking a couple of glasses out the back for a drink. Unfortunately their license didn't allow for us to drink it on the premises to we found a table overlooking the dam with a beautiful view over the grapevines.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
