Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- David M4 contributionsFinally ticked this off the bucket list. A very enjoyable trip with great commentary delivered with some good Aussie humour. Crew were very friendly and efficient. Extremely good value with morning tea and a ploughmans lunch. Met some lovely people also.Written 25 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Julie G26 contributionsThis is such a top spot to go kayaking, camping and hiking. Secluded little beaches backed by beautiful trails.
Bob was amazing even agreeing to meet me on Xmas day and then I had to postpone due to bad weather. Price was good for 24 hire and Bob couldn’t have been more helpful. Kayak was in good condition, safety briefing, pump, maps and first aid kit provided as well as helpful tips on tides and beaches and of course what to do in an emergency. Highly recommend Bob and his business. Brooklyn is beautiful and it’s fairly easy kayaking if you go with the current and wind.Written 29 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was the perfect get away.Written 20 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adrian C1 contributionTook "Bluey" and had a great time with the family. Had a health issue with one of the family members and we came back to the jetty to drop off then they allowed us to go back out for another hour. Great experience and understanding people.Written 27 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Milla S1 contributionBrilliant tour. Historian Peter Rea did a wonderful and informative presentation on the history of the Hawkesbury. Of particular interest to our group ( Returned service men and women) were mythe shipwrecks and war history of the region.
The photos were brilliant and Peters anecdotes and stories added to the experience.
The Hawkesbury is such a beautiful place

We hired a boat for the day on the biggest boat (Calypso) and went up river to a place called Milsons Island. After fishing there for an hour or 2 we went back down river and saw the array of locals on the river in big flat bottom boats and a small yellow boat flying past. We went back down to do some more fishing between the 2 bridges and caught a few more fish. At about 4:30 we went back in to be greeted by 4-5 people who had to pull us in because of the low tide... We gave our fish to the kids there and packed away. Overall this was a fantastic day and I recommend this to everyone. They also do tinny hire if you are looking for more a 2 person day out. Thank you so much and I appreciate everything that was done for us on that day.Written 17 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Silvia M1 contributionDEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO YOUR FAMILY, Warning not family friendly, NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. In fact quite dangerous for kids, have a look around there are safer boats. Staff are rude and made it clear more than once after we arrived that this boat is not safe for kids, however when booking they were boasting about how family friendly they are. There is soooo much more to write but just do your homework.here is just one photo on arrival at boat.Written 30 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
