I spent all day walking through the national park from Sunshine Beach to Noosa Main Beach for lunch, then the rainforest walk, then back a different way to Sunshine Beach SLSC. The section nearest Noosa Main Beach is busy, but gets quieter the further away you get. There are several lookouts, (unpatrolled) beaches, and many places you can stop, sit, and take a break from walking.

Noosa beach is amazing, 1m away from many restaurants cafes and parking areas. Nice wide sandy beach with changing rooms, shower and wc facilities, also you can rent tents or gazibos there.

Great little area on the sunshine coast that is not too busy. Perigian still has fantastic restaurants and cafes and is close to all the sunshine coast has to offer.

A very popular walkway is along the Noosa River, especially for people with dog it seems. Shady trees, good playground, the Big Pelican, adventure hire places for water activities, cafes and kiosks.

Serene place to visit. We loved it. Would be nice to kayak but we didn't have much time left, so we just joined the boat tour.

"Lake Weyba: A Hidden Gem in Queensland's Noosa Shire"

Barely disturbed by the hands of time and civilization, Lake Weyba - the sparkling jewel of Queensland's Noosa Shire - presents an exquisite tableau of Australia’s pristine wilderness. Lying adjacent to Noosa, the lake is one of the last untouched natural wonders down under, granting a refreshing and intimate connection with Mother Earth.

This majestic haven, teeming with an incredibly diverse range of flora and fauna, is a wildlife enthusiast's paradise. Boasting more than 650 bird species, Lake Weyba is a spectacular aviary that unfolds like a living, breathing storybook. Witness the vibrant plumage of parrots in the morning light, the nocturnal symphony of owls, and the dance of elegant waterfowl on the lake’s serene surface.

For those seeking a genuine ‘farm stay’ experience, the environs of Lake Weyba provide a unique canvas filled with encounters that span from peaceful to thrilling. Imagine waking up to the spectacle of bounding kangaroos or an after-dinner walk amidst a symphony of crickets, with the Southern Cross glittering above.

As part of the Noosa Everglades' intricate system, Lake Weyba is an aquatic wonderland that's a perfect setting for many outdoor activities. Kayaking through mirrored waterways, fishing under the soft glow of the sunrise, or simply enjoying a family picnic on its shores – there’s something for everyone in this tranquil retreat.

Not just for the adventurous, Lake Weyba offers the perfect backdrop for relaxation. With limited access to the lake, serenity isn’t merely a luxury but an integral part of the Lake Weyba experience. Let the symphony of nature be your soundtrack as you unwind, recharge and soak in the tranquillity.

As for accommodations, few can compete with the illustrious Lake Weyba Noosa Lodge. This lodge offers direct access to Lake Weyba, where unparalleled luxury meets untouched beauty. Here, you can start your day sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the lake, spend the afternoon exploring nearby trails, and round off the evening on your private balcony, basking in the glow of the setting sun.

Lake Weyba's location is a significant boon, too. Its proximity to the Sunshine Coast means it offers the best of both worlds – isolation from the bustle of urban life, yet close enough to explore Noosa's trendy cafes, boutiques, and surf culture.

Whether you're an adventure seeker, a nature enthusiast, a family seeking quality time together, or simply someone looking for a relaxing retreat, Lake Weyba delivers an unforgettable Australian experience. With its robust wildlife, outstanding outdoor activities, and splendid Lake Weyba Noosa Lodge, Lake Weyba is more than a destination – it’s the embodiment of Australia’s rugged beauty, waiting for you to explore.

Come and discover the undisturbed charm of Lake Weyba – where wildlife thrives, relaxation is guaranteed, and unforgettable memories are made.

less crowds and better waves than main beach (which we loved).. easy walk along road along a wooden walking trail or you can walk along path that gives views of beach.

only downside is no lifesavers or showers

Definitely recommend seeing Hells Gates. It was absolutely amazing. A beautiful view worth walking for ! Great place to set up for a picnic lunch or just to get some photos. It definitely shows the power of the ocean.

A key component of Noosa National Park and the coastal walk in Tee Tree Bay and its beach , with some rocky sections and great views and apparently good for surfing.

No matter how many times one walks the Noosa National Park and stops at the Boiling Pots, the first major lookout, the beauty and stunning views continue to impress. The blue sea, the beaches to the north, and the surfers freezing in the water below adds to the character of the place.

A total contrast to the normal, as this area was absolutely transformed into a true WETLANDS environment following the flooding rains of March 2022.
It looked more like a Bayou from New Orleans - minus the alligators!
Some of the seasoned old stagers reminisced that the water had not been this high since perhaps the 1970 s.

Granite Bay is different to other sections of the Noosa National Park with black granite rocks scattered along the beach (from which its name was derived) but it is still part of the beauty and diversity of the walk.

If you're visiting Noosa, I'd definitely recommend spending a morning (before it gets too hot!) doing the Wooroi Bike Trails in Tewantin National Park. We hired our mountain bikes from Bike On. There are 10 trails with varying difficulty, number 1 is a scenic and gentle 10 minute ride through the hinterland, anyone should be able to do this including kids as it's mostly flat. Trail 2 is quite a big step up in difficulty from trail 1, which I wasn't expecting! It involves a lot of up hill cycling and takes around 45 minutes to complete. On the way down it's so much fun though, lots of twists and turns and jumps, you can go quite fast. I'm a beginner and it was a bit of a challenge but not too much. I didn't do the other trails but maybe with a bit more practice I will give it a go in the future!

This is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street. It's very easy to find - just drive north to the end of Hastings Street and follow the sealed road and you'll see it on the left. There is free parking.

It's also a good place to swim. There are a few bench seats but not many.
