Since we had to be back on ship at 10 pm, Pats worked around our schedule and redesigned the tour to our wishes. We visited the 12 Apostles and drove down the beautiful Great Coastal road, making some stops for some beautiful pictures. We really wanted to see kangaroos and koalas in the wild and Pats was able to spot them. We even spotted a Kookaburra at Teddys Lookout. Although we skipped hiking through the forest, she gave us a wonderful drive by tour of Melbourne and a walking tour of the murals in downtown Melbourne. It was a full day but Pats did a wonderful job keeping it lively. Our guide was Jasmine and she was fantastic. A superb driver, flexible waiting for us as we stopped off at an enticing cake shop walking Acland St and so interesting with her local knowledge. Seeing koalas and kangaroos in the wild made the day. Driving along the coast was breathtaking and our walk into the rain forest was truly amazing. Easy booking experience and James our guide was very accommodating, especially for my wife who needed regular rest room stops.

- susan m32 contributionsThe weather was a bit soul destroying, but our guide James kept us in high spirits. I can only imagine how beautiful this place would be in the summer time. At least with the 2 day tour, we had the luxury of waiting for gaps in the weather rather than getting soaked to the bone at each location. It was torrential. - Chen M1 contributionWe took a private tour with great ocean road explorer. Guide was good (so sorry I forgot name). We saw many things in the 12 hours. Many animals, such as koala and kangaroo. Beautiful sights. Especially 12 apostles. Beautiful. We ran on the beach. Ate the local foods. We had a full day available as we were trasniting via the spirit of tasmania, so we were able to squeeze in a 12 hour tour. This allowed us to cover much more in one day than if we were to have hired a car from the port and self-driven ourselves.
