Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Harrison F. CarterAuckland, New Zealand12,832 contributionsRented a car from Melbourne to give the freedom to explore on own terms... gave the time to spend as wished to. Loved seeing the sights along it. Although busy, it was always easy to find peace and space to have your own moments.Written 11 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rohini2486Gurugram (Gurgaon), India15 contributionsLots to keep the little ones busy right on the beach front. Lots of slides , swings and it even has a skate park. - JudeTorquay, Australia597 contributionsThis beach is most lovely to stroll along, clean, long, good surf and incredibly dog friendly! But if you are a little nervous of nudity on the beach this is not the place for you. It is one of the nudist beaches in the region so consider that before going there. But highly recommended, not crowded and very peaceful. Remote from the township of Torquay so no shops or facilities apart from a basic toilet block at the car parking area. Access to the beach over soft sandy paths meandering through the sand dunes.Written 8 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kev MullinsWarrnambool, Australia14 contributionsOnly coming here to say the young staff were awesome. We mainly just popped in for a drink and they were a laugh.
It all started with us questioning if there was any alcohol in the ‘on-tap’ cocktails. Avoid them unless you’re designated driver and in that case have as many as you want. Otherwise we had a lovely time. And my wife had the beef salad and said it was awesome so some the dishes are clearly good.Written 21 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simon BCity of Greater Geelong, Australia4,350 contributionsFisho’s is the local go-to for a long walk on firm sand, without or with a dog. Also good for young families as sheltered bay offers gentle water for safe and shallow play.Written 22 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kamal PByron Bay, Australia9,665 contributionsBreamlea beach was an unspoilt stretch of seafront ideal for walks and relaxing. Beach was bordered by sand dunes and the lookout deck constructed among the dunes area gave more than a 180-degree view of the ocean front and the landmass. The area was not patrolled by lifesaving units; therefore, whether it was designated as a safe area for swimming was a question. However, there was a signpost indicating that lifesaving service will be in operation when the red and yellow flags are displayed in “Bancoora beach” about 1.1 Km away. An area towards the left of the beach was strewn with Basalt type rocks extending towards the sea with many small sea anemones and a variety of Molluscs like snails and clams were attached to the rocks. We spotted a Sea Urchin too. Among the rocks were small pools formed by trapped seawater due to sand barriers. They were constantly getting filled by the rolling waves. It was an interesting natural ecosystem for observation. Waves were not strong, so the sea was safe enough to tread in.Written 13 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Casual vibe. Great beers at reasonable prices on tap. Live music, friendly atmosphere everyone felt welcomed even the furry friends. Huge screen with sport showing without taking over the venue. We meet with mates and enjoyed tasting a few beers, wine and spirits were also served at the bar.
The food van in the beer garden provided us with some great share food spicy wing and crispiest chips they were delicious.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - lettgall2 contributionsWe visited the Farmers Market on the Torquay foreshore in June 2022 and although the weather was bad, there were enough stalls to wander for a few hours. There was live music as a great background, and we were able to find parking very easily despite there being a lot of people. After wards, we wandered across the road the a little cafe (which had public toilets either side ~ very handy after eating/drinking at the market) and we had a nice lunch and coffee before taking a walk along the lovely foreshore path. There were playgounds everywhere for the kids (including directly next to the cafe if you want a peaceful coffee while still being able to supervise the kiddies). In the warmer months, I imagine there would be more stalls to explore but there were enough to make the experience enjoyable.Written 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
