- GeckoGirlReadsGeelong, Australia114 contributionsEveryone told us to visit the caves while we were in Naracoorte. My sister and I took our not as mobile parents (late 60s) and we did the Alexander and Victoria Caves. I would definitely recommend prebooking as we arrived at about 9am and most tours were booked out (it was the Wednesday after the Easter long weekend and still school holidays) the staff were lovely and we could get a 9:30 tour of one cave but were going to have to wait until 3:15pm for the next one so they very kindly added an extra tour at 11am (which quickly filled up) both guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Mum did struggle with the stairs and uneven ground in both caves but made it through. As we had booked both they also have us the stick tomato cave (small self guided) and the discovery centre. Parents didn’t do the small cave (has a steep metal staircase) but I would recommend this one if it’s the kids first time and your not sure how they will go down a cave as it more open. There is a small cafe and a great playground as well as nice walksWritten 20 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionswhat a great idea. Both kids and adults really enjoyed the lake during some hot weather. free entrance and very safe. Our group was camping in the caravan park and spent many hours at the lake in between visiting other regional attractionsWritten 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionsan interesting look at Naracoortes pastoral past. It was well set up and a good range of items from the past focussing on the wool industry. a good range of souveniersWritten 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bev SMoonta, Australia2 contributionsFantastic camping spot with plenty of very clean 'rustic' amenities Ken and Liz are great hosts. Suitable for all ages to enjoy the outdoors.
Liz is very friendly, informative and passionate of the local area. Walking trails, Yabbies and plenty of room. A camp site not to be missed. Thanks again LizWritten 4 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionsGuided tour was interesting. The cave itself is not very interesting but having a look at the fossils was very interesting. Our guide was good explaining about the fossils with the help of slide show.Written 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionsGreat spot for the kids but probably not so much for he adults. Would like to see more info about the animals shown in the displayWritten 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionsself guided tour. Certainly not the most spectacular cave but worth visiting while you at the caves. easy walking distance from the car parkWritten 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DadandCabCoffs Harbour, Australia916 contributionsThis place is small but packs a punch. They had a great exhibition of textile work when I visited and a great collection of etchings. They were awaiting a sculpture display which I just missed but aside from the work exhibited, which was well supported by information about the artists, they also had a small shop, amply stocked with local pieces from local artists including pottery, textiles, cards, jewellery. A great place to support local artists and pick up a unique souvenir or gift from your trip.Written 26 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sandra SPerth, Australia720 contributionsBeing a keen bird watcher and photographer I visited with the idea of seeing some birds. It appears there had been a lack of rain, and to be truthful the drive out was most disappointing and not a bird of any description was to be seen!Written 4 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BceeinguSydney, Australia735 contributionsWe called in for a wine tasting. We received a warm welcome and we advised of the different types of wine flights for us to try. We tried the whites and our favourite was the Eliza Blanc to Blanc 2019, this was one of the best wines I have ever tasted. Our hostess was very well informed and very friendly. The tasting room is beautiful and the grounds are stunning and very well maintained. Highly recommend to call in if you are in the areaWritten 1 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian MMildura, Australia688 contributionsA lovely walk. We did not cover the whole walk but it appears well maintained and is quite pleasant along the creek and into more bushlandWritten 15 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AndiHAdelaide, Australia31 contributionsWe were encouraged by a local to visit and wow! We were definitely not disappointed! It’s off the beaten track but well worth the effort! The staff were very friendly and the food and service were excellent! Even the toilets were immaculate! Family friendly environment with a rural farm setting and with a lovely play area for children including a cute cubby house. Strawberry picking was also available and on raised rows so easier for people who can’t bend over or kneel. We went there for breakfast and my husband was pleased to be offered a two or THREE shot coffee... he had three lol! We were also amazed at the variety of yummy homemade goods offered for sale, from strawberry jam to honey mustard sauce and peppermint tea (which is one of the nicest leaf teas I’ve ever had!). My favourite was the apple and strawberry sauce!Written 27 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
