Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery
was well worth having a look at, with an array of top quality products in the Gift Shop & in the small theatre we were able to view the History as well as the process of Eucalyptus Oil
It was nice to see the Island namesake being hand-reared as an orphan in the Shop.

Stopped here on our way back from exploring the island to our hotel. Beautiful views and incredibly nice staff. Burgers were delicious and we asked for a takeaway charcuterie board which the staff kindly set up for us with so much love and care. Thank you so much!

Stopped at this winery expecting the usual $18 paddle and a sheet of paper with tasting notes.

This winery was different. Engaged person (sorry didn’t catch name) who talked us through the wines, encouraged me to taste new and made whole experience fun and enjoyable. Ended up buying wine which was very good and enjoyed the view, conversation and experience.

After a long walk at Emu Bay beach, we went to the Lavender Farm for lunch. Unfortunately all of the lavender had been harvested a few weeks earlier but the lunch was nice. We had the quinoa salad with halloumi and the ciabatta chicken sandwich. They sell all kinds of products they make with the lavender and I bought a few lip balms.

We really enjoyed the adventure with Andrew to visit the dolphins today! We went on his
open jet boat with two other family groups ( no propellers to endanger wildlife or swimmers) . Andrew was entertaining and knowledgeable about the local wildlife - we saw eagles and seals as well as dolphins. It was just amazing to swim with the curious dolphins who seemed to enjoy the the visit from the boat, checking us out as soon as we arrived in the bay and enjoying a surf on the bow wave as we left. There were young calves and maybe as many as 30 dolphins during the morning. It was a bit chilly today but there were wet suits for use and snorkels/ masks. You need to be reasonably confident slipping into the water and climbing back on to the boat- there’s a ladder. We loved it, and our fellow swimmers did too. Andrew is great fun and offers an exciting opportunity to experience dolphins in their own environment choosing to interact with visitors.

We had a fabulous full day tour of KI our driver and tour guide Pete was very knowledgeable, engaging and friendly -we both learnt so much about the islands flora and fauna. Besides being taken to the islands historical spots and national parks, we also stopped along the islands roadways to view native wildlife such as koalas, goanna, eagles.
Lots of photos were taken! We highly recommend Kangaroo Island Trails and our tour guide / driver Pete.

I spent a fabulous 2 days touring Kangaroo Island with guide Nikki Redman. Nikki’s professionalism and knowledge was outstanding and her passion for the island contagious. Touring with a small group meant we were able to get off the beaten track to see the best of the island’s wildlife in their natural habitat as well as experiencing the magnificent scenery KI has to offer. The lunches and quality of transportation were all great. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and the tour well and truly exceeded my expectations.

Great shop nicely set out to inform you of the Bee Life Cycle & the Honey Industry.
Unfortunately when we drove to Island Beehive they didn't have any power but they Hot-spotted the eftpos from their mobile phone which enabled us to buy delicious Chocolate Honeycomb.
