They had availability that afternoon and the services were outstanding! The special was a 60 minute massage and 30 minute facial for $99 so we chose that. - Ingrid GMelbourne, Australia8 contributionsTucked away in a rather unassuming building, The Avoca Body & Skin salon would be easy to miss if not for the flapping white Balinese style banners that catch one's eye. A sandwich board placed near the footpath advertising the September Special of a one hour massage with the addition a half hour facial $99 lured me in. I was told almost apologetically that no appointments were available for that day but two slots were available the following day. Was one convenient? Yes please. In a rather utilitarian therapy room, I recall the hot towels on the feet, the scent of the massage oil and the firm, confident movements of the massage therapist. At one stage, the pleasant, ambient sound track was restarted (too often, the sound track intrudes, but not here) the delay not long enough to fracture the session. Body massage done, the facial followed and by this stage, I was too far "gone" to recall much detail, let alone conjure up the name of my English born practitioner with the magic hands (apologies). At the conclusion, a trial pack of dermalogical products was the added bonus to a wonderful hour and a half. Started with a beautiful yoga class which was so relaxing. Very welcoming with 2 other local regulars.
Then a lovely shiatsu massage.
Julie was beautiful, welcoming. Highly recommend. I will certainly return on my next visit up north

Stunning linen and silk clothing, good selection of casual footwear, and some unique jewellery. Men, women and children all catered for. Beautiful selection of giftware for all occasions, Ideal shop for those special holiday outfits. The trip up the Telegraph Track was very challenging especially as I was towing a Camper Trailer but our guide got us through all the water crossings safely. Finally had a great group of people to travel with...6 4WDs ...very friendly ending up as great friends. I'm a local who usually just walks along the beach so took the opportunity of having visitors and went out with them. I definitely would recommend it as it's a little adventurous, a very reasonable price and really a lot of fun. It's very safe as life jackets come with the hire and Steve keeps an eye on you. The previous time I had visitors we hired the stand up paddle boards which were also great fun.
