The volunteers are obviously passionate about their museum and the stories they have to share make this a memorable experience. The exhibits are both interesting and informative, lots of facts for little minds to absorb. Our 8yo loved it! It's a little expensive at $60 for a family but I imagine there's a lot of behind the scenes magic that goes on in order to keep the lights on so it's worth it! The beach was patrolled, there was a caravan park with a view, shops were close-fish and chip, Thai, supermarket and hairdresser. There were activities too like the skate park and historical deck with the Dicky propeller. There were quite a few people of all ages present. Everyone was well behaved. Entry prices are very reasonable. You can be as casually or dressed up as you like which is great. We were able to sit close to the finish line which was great.
