- Sammy_s88Goulburn and Surrounds, Australia45 contributionsHighly recommend this lookout-
It’s an easy 30 min return walk.
My very active 3 year managed the hike well.
All easy to manage steps up, I do suggest sturdy walking shoes as it was slightly slippery on some leafy areas on the decline.
It’s a beauty! Must see!Written 29 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Thelilaussiebattler15 contributionsDoubt you'll find many better on water experiences anywhere in Australia. The turquoise colour of the water is as good as you'll see anywhere in the world really. Hire a boat/sup from one of the many operators along the river (no licence needed) and head out to explore. So many beautiful little sandy beaches that you can just run your small boat aground on and jump out to fish or explore. We only hired for 3 hours (youngest child 3) but wish we did longer. Even at peak holiday times, there is so much room on this lake for everyone to have fun. Also an ice cream boat comes out and sells ice creams on the water if you don't bring enough food. - Sammy_s88Goulburn and Surrounds, Australia45 contributionsWhat a beautiful little gem tucked away nicely in Forster. Totally worth the day trip. Two beaches in one location. Rock pools and flat sand waves on one side and waves and surf on the other. Plenty to discover for teens and littles.
Parking available and also a look out above.
Not crowded at all. Perfect summer family destination beach.Written 27 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Shing shingSydney, Australia46 contributionsExcellent campsite. stayed for 3 nights, campsite very close the beach can hear waves at night. Some shady areas to set up the family for a day of fishing & swimmingWritten 10 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anita TForster, Australia11,671 contributionsWe often walk through this lovely rainforest which runs behind the northern end of One Mile beach.
It has developed over the years with a dedicated group of volunteers spending countless hours. They removed all the introduced plant species and planted lot of littoral rainforest plants. The have also put in plaques identifying the various species and their uses by the indigenous people.
On this occasion we had friends staying, it was high tide and very windy so we took them for a walk along the boardwalk to the lookout. They loved it.Written 24 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - AlexandraTBRWSydney, Australia14 contributionsThese guys are really lovely and genuine, we had a great time and I would happily join their tour again. Great boat, great and interesting commentary, very knowledgeable people.
We went on a slightly wet day, and the owners were drying the outdoor seats and railings with towels as we left the dock, which shows how considerate they are. We were fortunate to see a lot of dolphins. We had very few others on the cruise with us probably due to the weather, so it’s worth considering on a greyer day.Written 1 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
