Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- roy vTraralgon, Australia6,026 contributionsWe arrived in Coogee by bus to do the coastal walk to Bondi.
It is a lovely spot, beautiful beach.
We were told by some local gentleman to have a look at the Memorial in Dunningham Park.
We took that in before starting the walk .
There is a lovely memorial overlooking the beach dedicated to victims of the Bali bombing, very touching , brings back memories of that horrendous attack .Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The main attraction is that the water always seems to be beautiful. Looking from the paths above the cliffs, you can clearly see the bottom even though it might be four metres deep. It's just great to swim out into the middle or out towards the sea, only getting waves when the swell's particularly big. Good place for getting on inflatables as well. The south shore rocks, accessed from the beach at the end, get shade in the afternoon, while the outer part of the north shore has easy access from the south side of Clovelly. Both sides can have difficult access from the rocks to the water. Snorkling along the rocks, particularly on the north side, is some of the best in Sydney (there's a marked marine trail but it's in deeper water and seems better for scuba diving).Written 2 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EndlessTravelsGreater Melbourne, Australia38,672 contributionsI haven’t visited many sea pools in Sydney but out of the ones I have this one is my favourite. Great location at the lifesaving club. One section is mostly sand and the section next to it is an amazing swimming pool with the waves crashing over the pool.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EndlessTravelsGreater Melbourne, Australia38,672 contributionsCommissioned by the local lifesaving club. This touching memorial honours the lifesavers who gave their lives in war.Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mrdom8,514 contributionsIt's the park behind Coogee Beach and it's a great beach but there's not much park space - they prioritise the road of course and then have motorbikes going through the park. The park is not. In good condition but that might be because it hets such heavy use. Dunningham Reserve on the hill is far better for most purposes.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AndyJohn74Sydney, Australia5,837 contributionsGrant Reserve is located at the southern end of Coogee Beach. This large open space has a sizeable childrens playground, a bandstand, an open field as well as access to a couple of public baths. There is plenty of decent pathways of which some afford a lovely view of the ocean.
The maintenance of this park is very good and I would say it is quite safe. There are a lot of people using the paths.Written 1 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lot of old grace stones
You can walk by it without having to walk in it
