Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- mrdom8,642 contributionsThis is a large park with decent grass, a lot of which is shaded by many big old palm trees. One sports ground and a bowling club with the rest of it best for relaxing under the trees. Note that Ashfield Park borders Parramatta Road but is set back from The Hume Highway - the tiny park at the corner of the streets and shown in the main photo is called Explorers Park.Written 13 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Road2910333 contributionsA variety of goods available. Can get everything you need. Household, personal and food. Accessible by train. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city.Written 7 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mrdom8,642 contributionsSo a bit disappointed this Sunday, usually it's pumping (and the basketball courts next door were busy). Sydenham Green was created when a lot of houses under the flight path were bought up, and it's the best thing in Sydenham despite the planes overhead, and the big skate park is usually full of kids making the most out of it.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Copthat1Sydney, Australia234 contributionsWalk past and through this park regularly. Well curated by local council. A pleasant walk with plenty of bird life. Minimal parking in the local area due to high rises in the area but if you get a chance to stop and walk through Allman Park, then you must..Written 26 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nataliecapperSydney14 contributionsThe pool isnt so bad. But be prepared if you have two or more children to spend over $50 on substandard food. Coffee and ice blocks are all its good for. Not a huge amount of chlorine for the outdoor pools. No where to lay in the sun.Written 14 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mrdom8,642 contributionsThis area has been rebuilt after being dug up for motorway construction. No direct replacement for the old Rockdale Stadium but lots of smaller grounds and a decent playground. A bit barren at the moment, the trees will take a long time to be good, but the hills might be ok in cool weather. The landing lights wetlands are still good and the only place you can avoid traffic and cyclists. It's totally set up for driving and terrible to walk to. There's access from the north but on high speed cycleways and it doesn't really go anywhere except golf course, industrial and airport (not sure how the nice hidden area with graffiti and raves is going). The southwest has dangerous roads between here and anywhere else like the extensive sports grounds in Rockdale.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mrdom8,642 contributionsThere are a lot of sports complexes around this area of Rockdale and I hope women can use them all but the one they call the women's sportfields is a barren expanse of 15 netball courts. I guess they're ok for that though. Good condition. Trees around the edge but they don't shade anything useful.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
