Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An exciting and at times slightly challenging walk into the Gorge, however the lagoon and waterfall at the end are worth the effort.
And its rewarding to return and enjoy a cool beverage and snack at the adjacent resort

It’s November so it’s very very warm - some would say too hot to walk around and it probably is, but we’re only here once.

We smashed the purple and green walks much quicker than the interp suggested and look lots of photos. Even with nearby bush fire-haze, the views were great.

We had left it too late in the day to do the black 2.5 hour walk so just ‘nipped’ up the bank to see the hand paintings. Impressive works of art but difficult to go back down the route. But not impossible. That’s why they say the route is one way!

My only grumble would be the £17 a day car parking charge which is managed through an ‘honesty box’ (that takes card!).
It’s a-bit steep in my opinion given what other NPs charge and finally, put a barrier on to make everyone pay - surely that’s fair?

Flight with Elliott of Helispirit was the best helicopter flight we’ve ever had in both Oz and overseas. He’s a great pilot with smooth flying in high wind gusts without missing a beat during his informative commentary. Will recommend Elliott for flying anywhere!

Incredible experience. Such generosity and care taken by the guides to share their knowledge and art with me and my family. Highly recommend - best tour I’ve done hands down.

Friendly staff- great information. Drove to Wyndham which was beautiful- highly recommend Avis rental at the airport.. they were Amazing!
However, a sour note, the private taxi service promoted by the centre was extortionate and blatantly a rip off - $40.00 for 4kms!!! ( Airport to town)
I spoke to the Tourist centre, about their recommendation- and was told t”that’s how it is”the proprietor of the private taxi is a member here and therefore we will continue to promote her!!!She mentioned the other taxis are unreliable.
I felt stunned and fleeced by This private taxi - and equally annoyed by the Tourist centres response. This experience was so different to anyone else I have met in Kununurra. It is the most friendly place- suggest finding alternate route from the airport.

Andrew, is an asset to Kununurra- His desire to teach people of its rich history and continuing efforts to catalogue it the information he receives is amazing.

We walked in and we’re greeted with a smile and his stories kept my 2 boys (13 & 9 years old) captivated.
We could’ve listened for hours to his stories and the boys are searching the museum info on YouTube as he suggested.

Thankyou Andrew, you alone are doing a fabulous job to help preserve and show a rich history not many Australians know of - all for a small donation of $2.00 per person.

    It’s November - it’s 29 degrees at 630am - it’s time to walk up Kelly’s knob.

We drove as far as we could before taking the big walk first.
It’s steep, uneven and barely ‘steps’ in places. Handrail is ropey in places too.
Well worth a visit for the view but take heed of the warning signage.
If you’re uneasy with heights or edges, do not attempt.
Can access with standard drive car. Tarmaced all the way up.
The smaller look-out is equally uneven in places but is barely 20 steps high.

Nice plaque to some lost-lives too which makes you appreciate the view a little more.

We flew over the National Park in a helicopter and it gives you a great impression of the vastness of the Kimberley region. It is simply stunning, even at the end of the dry season. We were lucky enough to see small waterfalls too. While the helicopter tour can be expensive, it gives a different perspective and is worth doing.

Beware of that evil crocodile; he or she is under the Bamboo on the left on the Kununurra side. I watched it - it watched me... and we agreed to meet another time!

Just beautiful. The bird and wildlife is stunning, could have stayed a lot longer watching the variety of birds and the salt water crocodile. A hidden gem.

Went on a November day and was pleased to see actual water in one of the these local water courses.
Place has about 10 parking spaces so if these are full, the place is full. Be warned.
We arrived with only 4 cars in place and it still felt awkward to use the space with young kids.
Not direct or easy to get there so if you’re not good on your legs, leave this one.
Good BBQ and seating area off the car park with a bush-loo too.
Note: November is end of dry season awaiting the rain fall so expect water levels to be low across the region at this time of year.

Not a lot of flow when there but great view. Up stream side very tranquil and great spot to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun.

When you arrive in a new place there is nothing better than being met by a friendly face and a helping hand. The bonus of a quality airport shuttle is the added extras of good advice and suggestions of where to go and how to find the places you need. "Grub" and his crew are perfect for all of the above and l highly recommend them.

The trip was very enjoyable. The boat driver/tour guide (Greg) was very friendly, helpful and calm. Very informative and very cautious in what he is doing to ensure safety on board at all times. The boat ride was very smooth, and the timing was fantastic.
