Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Terry GNorth Rocks, Australia813 contributionsMagic walk from El Questro Wilderness Park. Strongly suggest start walk around 2pm as you walk into the shade and cool rather than heat. About 60 mins up. Rocky and rough in parts. Some stepping stones across watercourse. I am 66 years old and had little difficulty. Good shoes recommended. Beautiful pool at the top. Another 60 mins down. Well worth it !!Written 26 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rob27898Port Kennedy, Australia460 contributionsIt’s November so it’s very very warm - some would say too hot to walk around and it probably is, but we’re only here once.
We smashed the purple and green walks much quicker than the interp suggested and look lots of photos. Even with nearby bush fire-haze, the views were great.
We had left it too late in the day to do the black 2.5 hour walk so just ‘nipped’ up the bank to see the hand paintings. Impressive works of art but difficult to go back down the route. But not impossible. That’s why they say the route is one way!
My only grumble would be the £17 a day car parking charge which is managed through an ‘honesty box’ (that takes card!).
It’s a-bit steep in my opinion given what other NPs charge and finally, put a barrier on to make everyone pay - surely that’s fair?Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He’s a great pilot with smooth flying in high wind gusts without missing a beat during his informative commentary. Will recommend Elliott for flying anywhere!Written 26 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TWal1Canberra, Australia2,936 contributionsWe flew over the National Park in a helicopter and it gives you a great impression of the vastness of the Kimberley region. It is simply stunning, even at the end of the dry season. We were lucky enough to see small waterfalls too. While the helicopter tour can be expensive, it gives a different perspective and is worth doing.Written 2 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JMSydney, Australia283 contributionsBeware of that evil crocodile; he or she is under the Bamboo on the left on the Kununurra side. I watched it - it watched me... and we agreed to meet another time!Written 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LoisSawbridgeworth, UK362 contributionsCute little waterfall and small pool to swim in. Short walk to pool but no clear path, have to go through some little streams and over slippery rocks so take care. Road into parking accessible by 2WD during dry season and if going very slowly.Written 2 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rob27898Port Kennedy, Australia460 contributionsIt’s November - it’s 29 degrees at 630am - it’s time to walk up Kelly’s knob.
We drove as far as we could before taking the big walk first.
It’s steep, uneven and barely ‘steps’ in places. Handrail is ropey in places too.
Well worth a visit for the view but take heed of the warning signage.
If you’re uneasy with heights or edges, do not attempt.
Can access with standard drive car. Tarmaced all the way up.
The smaller look-out is equally uneven in places but is barely 20 steps high.
Nice plaque to some lost-lives too which makes you appreciate the view a little more.Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah D5 contributionsWhen you arrive in a new place there is nothing better than being met by a friendly face and a helping hand. The bonus of a quality airport shuttle is the added extras of good advice and suggestions of where to go and how to find the places you need. "Grub" and his crew are perfect for all of the above and l highly recommend them.Written 15 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lucas was a top skipper- his knowledge, humour & hospitality were on point. Excellent value, with the drive from Kununurra with Bruce adding quality info with a dash of humour. We had a blast. Thanks for accommodating us on an off day.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rachelwa104Busselton, Australia1 contributionWe did the Lake Argyle seaplane sunset trip. The scenery was spectacular and it was very special to land on Lake Argyle, taxi to an island that we had all to ourselves and enjoy drinks, nibbles and a swim.
Our pilot, Beau made it very interesting and fun, together with very smooth take offs and landings.
This was the best experience of our holiday in Kununurra and would highly recommend. Thanks Beau.Written 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
