    Review of: Te Mata Peak
    Spectacular view from the top and the bottom
    In my opinion, it offers the best and the easiest reach urban hilltop view in New Zealand. It is so great to be able to drive up to the top, and you can choose to bike and walk up. Even though you don’t want to go up, you can still enjoy the view from the bottom of the hill (specifically from Craggy Range)

    It has amazing view and great spot for sunrise and sunset.

    If you would like to have light on the peak and ridge, you’d better go there in the morning or at latest early afternoon.

    Review of: Ocean Beach
    Beautiful
    We had a stunning afternoon at this sandy beach with the locals. The water was clear and warm. Parking is a challenge. No food or drink options here.No rubbish collection so be a tidy Kiwi.

    A lovely short walk
    A lovely short walk, worth the drive. Some great spots to watch the birds and enjoy the scenery. Not much in the way of facilities or shade.

    "Great safe playground"
    Lovely playground for children to have wet play and dry play. First time here. Noticed they had park staff supervising and watching children.

    Review of: Waimarama Beach
    Lovely place to spend time.
    Wonderful white sand and warm sea, in summer. A great place for my grandchildren to visit, the ones who like flat beaches with no rocks to explore.

    Review of: Hawkes Bay Farmyard Zoo
    Neat Zoo that small children would love!
    Such a neat spot to take younger children.

    We saw so many babies due to the time of year. The ducklings were only born the night before so it was pretty special to see them.

    Special shout our to the lady that works there. She was absolutely fantastic speaking to us about the different animals

    Pop in if you find yourself in the area.

    Funky
    Nice place. Bigger than I thought it'd be. Lots of entertainment for the kids. Lots of indoor area too Incase the weather turns.

    Saw one sheep who had given himself a nasty sore around his neck from leaning through the fence to get food.
    Apart from that all the animals looked happy and healthy and my kids had a blast.

    Review of: Pakowhai Country Dog Park
    Great for a lovely rura lwalk with or without dogs
    taken my dogs many times and they enjoy running free. Paths easy to negotiate and scenery great. The bonus is getto meet other social walkers and heir fur babies A great facitity for dog walkers and walkers

    Like going there to walk the dog. She loves it. Very safe and animal friendly. Can let your dog off the leash and they are safe

    Review of: Osmanthus Gardens
    Fantastically lit for the Lantern Festival
    I have visited the Osmathus Gardens in Cornwall Park on many occasions, but it is particularly special during the Chinese Lantern Festival. It was wonderful to see whole families wandering through the Gardens enjoying the magnificence of the lighting reflecting in the water after dark. A tranquil place to visit during the day as well, even without the special effects.
