Bob was an amazing host, the bike was out-of-this-world, and dad still hasn't stopped smiling! Paul can read the crowd giving us just enough time in some place and more in others . Lucky for us but not so for him it was just the 2 of us. The grand tour is a great way to get an overall picture of the Hawkes Bay Area .
We would totally recommend this tour to anyone . We should have made this our 1st adventure at the beginning of our trip to Napier as Paul’s tour and commentary gives an excellent overview to allow you to return to various spots if desired.
Coming from Christchurch we were very interested in the rebuild after the 1931 earthquake and fire ..Napier did it so well as is the testimony you see today .

It was well organized and we saw the Art Deco town and the surrounding countryside. We had great photographic opportunities. Paul know all the little tidbits about the town. The driver who picked us up shared his knowledge of the area, and noted points of interest for us.
First course at St Georges winery - light, balanced entree with matching wines - superb.
Then on to the views from the stunning Te Mata Peak. Allowed us to get a better idea of the whole region.
Main course at Craggy Range with very entertaining table service from Jacob (what a gem of information), wines were perfectly matched. Beautiful venue.
Then last but by no means least, dessert at Mission. Lots of changes here and the venue looked stunning. Dessert wine and port to finish.
Yes, we would definately do this trip again.
