Our stay in the Merlot cottage was superb. Rows of vines, beautiful sculptures, a bevy of quails, acorns and olive trees and tasty wines.

Very knowledgeable host, excellent wines, magnificent setting. We were already a fan of the wines but have some new favorites to add to our buying list.

Excellent tasting, very knowledgeable host and some of the best reds in Hawke Bay, a must do if in the area.

During our touring of the wine region, we stopped here to try their wines. We were greeted by the most pleasant woman who had a wonderful sense of humor and made our tasting experience that much better. We enjoyed several varieties, all of which were quite nice, but settled on a bottle of chardonnay.

Nice Sunday listening to music and drinking sangria at Abbe Winery. Good pizza. We went on a busy day so a bit of a wait. Bean bags and tables to sit at in the shade so was good. Things for children to do.

Great wine tasting in a fantastic and authentic setting. Really informative to hear about the brand, the wine and its origins / history at this family owned and operated winery. We were on hire bikes from On Yer Bike ~ also recommended👍😀

Really pretty venue and wines very good - they had some old vintages open including some old desert wines. Bottle from 2002 was lovely and not expensive. Was well worth the trip even on a rainy day

This winery is very special. A very small boutique vineyard with extremely interesting wines. Very reasonably prices. The wine maker has been adventurous in his choices. An absolute must visit.

Small winery with some interesting wines.
Zinfandel for some reason - average really.
Some of the oldest Syrah in the country.
You will be hosted by the owner.

This restaurant is open seven days a week, although it tends to close by 9:00 pm. The dining area is attractive, although it is somewhat informal. While the furniture is nice, no tablecloths are used. There is a full bar, although most guests would go for wines, since this is part of a well-known winery. The menu is selective and each dish is well prepared and presented. The flavors are wonderful, and the ingredients seasonal and fresh. The wines are also delightful and served with pride. We found the service to be friendly and reasonably attentive.

Got off the Radiance of the Seas at Napier on 11/03/19. Went on the ships wine tour to 3 cellar doors and this was our last one. Lovely setting and friendly staff. Sat outside under the trees and near a pool and fountain. Vines on the other side.
    .
Had a lovely tasting of wines. We bought some wine.
Most of the coach group bought here too.
The ice cream was Yum too!!!

A new one for us and a great tasting.
We arrived on a day they were closed and because their website was wrong they opened for us - great service.
They produce some great wines at reasonable prices.
Both hosts were very knowledgeable and engaging.
Came away with a good collection - will visit again to keep up to date.
