What travellers are saying
- Malcolm DEudlo, Australia2 contributionsSeeing so much of the island and having an excellent tour guide/ driver who was so polite, friendly and had so much knowledge of the island and its history and also the wildlife. His name was Butch and I would recommend him to all. One of the very best I have experienced. A day to always remember.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alisonne20 contributionsthis reminded me of the foreshore of the Gold Coast 40 years ago. Brought back great memories of casual walks on the beach and esplanade. Relaxing and not crowdedWritten 21 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Gavin F5 contributionsWear shoes and watch for uneven timber boards. It's a kilometre long walk one way so take water if it's summer time.Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- maxwellfamily200349 contributionsThis is a beautiful garden! We enjoyed the open grass spaces. Loved the turtles that greated us on the bridge. A kookaburra greated us aswell.
The ducks with their ducklings were a highlight.

It was very quiet on early Sunday afternoon. On our way to the airport we sat and enjoyed the peaceful moment.Written 26 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lisaMorayfield, Australia24 contributionsGreat little place to spend an hour. The turtle feeding was the highlight. They also loved a pat, and would keep swimming to you for touch. The aquariums were interesting with all the different fish.Written 10 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pookybun pGold Coast, Australia530 contributionsGreat atmosphere, live music and a good selection of market stalls both food and others. It was nice walking around and there was places to sit, have a coffee and snacks as well as looking at all the stalls.Written 10 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael-4551Caloundra, Australia4,658 contributionsVisited a couple of times on our recent visit to Hervey Bay. First visit was to check out the park and go for a walk along the beach. Second was when we walked from Urangan Pier up to the park and back again, gives you a different perspective of the area. Well worth doing even if it's in the car.Written 3 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RayParksAdelaide, Australia2,744 contributionsI was looking forward to visiting the gallery, but it was very disappointing to find that it was closed. So we only visited the building! If I have an opportunity to visit Hervey Bay again, I want to make sure that it’s open during my stay, as I wish to learn the history of the indigenous culture in this region.Written 27 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TrusstytravellerPalmview, Australia990 contributionsJust a wonderful place to sit and watch and relax. - Elizabeth Hervey BayYungaburra3 contributionsFour wonderful pools - the big outdoor pool where the water temperature is perfect for lap swimming, the wonderful children's pool with its water toys and fountains.
Two indoor pools perfect for the tropics - the large one is great for lap swimming and it has a long easy ramp for frail and elderly which extends almost the full length of the pool. Stairs also. There is a rehab lane but generally the water is too deep to do any serious walking or exercise, but its excellent for gentle swimming with one of the many aides available (noodles).
The second indoor pool is heated to 31 or 32 degrees and is well utilised by people recovering from injuries, receiving personal one on one fitness training or carers, and the elderly who are getting fit by doing walking and exercise in the warm water that they can't do otherwise. Gentle workouts at their own pace between 11.30 and 3pm. Learn to swim classes are held at other times in this pool.
There is a small cafe serving coffee etc and fries and plenty of tables under shade.Written 19 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Samantha WalshHervey Bay, Australia2 contributionsI love popping into this local store and spend an hour just looking and feeling like a tourist. I never walk out without buying something or two. Great store, art and clothing. Fantastic owners.Written 27 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
