We were so pleased to spend time here. The displays were easy to read and informative, and the audio visuals were amazing. We really felt, as a couple of born-and-bred Cantabrians, that we learnt a lot about how Māori lived in those times and about the history of pounamu.
We would highly recommend a visit.

A great step back into the past.
I hope this part of NZ's way of life and stories are preserved for all of our children to observe and experience.

Peaceful and interesting historical walk which will fascinate families but was equally as enjoyable for myself. The gravel road was a bit rough in places and at times on the drive there it doesn't feel like it might be a pretty bush walk. But once you arrive it's enchanting and fun. I had a wee fantail follow me for a while. And saw a waxeye and tomtit and 2 kereru. Joy's of being a solo walker.

It’s a nice little stop when going by Greymouth which ever direction you’re travelling in. It’s free and very interesting. Was pleasantly surprised. Lots of information into the mining. Nice and easy walk around.

Nice bush 1 hour 15 min loop walk. Its not that long as brochure from i-site said. We walk from Point Elizabeth Carpark not Rapahoe. Its shorter about half. No toilets or wifi.

We had a nice walk along the break after lunch, wear sunscreen as the wind is deceptive. Interesting plaques along the way, good views and a great way to see the birds.

If this facility had been open when I lived in Greymouth, maybe I wouldn't have left. While based here for two weeks, we've bought our kids here for swimming, used the spa and done a casual body balance class. I also used the shower facility. Ten out of ten. Only slight grumble is the life guards act like fun police, kids are kids, let them have some fun! (Our swimming pools in Taranaki have lifeguards that let kids take safe risks and extend themselves) .

We spent a wonderful day with Bob who showed us some great spots on the west coast, including the Tree Top walk, Hokitika Gorge, Punakaiki rocks, Truman Track and beach. He kept us informed and entertained with a commentary based on his life time on the coast. Thanks for a great day Bob.

The art on display had interesting write ups about the creation and the artists and all beautifully displayed. Make sure you look in the vault at the brilliant greenstone collection. Gift shop offerings are gorgeous and well priced

Lots of dolls, lots of chat, this was an intense visit to Dollyworld! Would recommend to a friend. Particularly if they weren't intending on getting any sleep that night.
