Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This great place has just changed hands so they are renovating. Meaning you can't have any cafe food for now, but there is ice cream and the coffee is fabulous.

I would highly recommend a visit. We were looking for a way to get our of the heat after several beach days and thought this would take care of an hour or two, but we spent well over 3 hours here with our two boys. The illusions are brilliant, our boys went over them again and again. We then went outside for a play, sat down for an ice cream and coffee while having a go at the mind puzzles and then the kids went back in again.

It's a bargain for the entry fee. Once renovations are done, this will be a gem of the region.

This gallery has been around for a long time and survived the horrible fires nearby. However sadly we were told it would be closing soon. We always visited if we were in the area. It presents stunningly beautiful paintings, skillfully crafted woodwork, glassware and other artwork of very high quality-no substandard artwork here. We were inspired and grateful to have seen the art pieces again.

This was one of the best discovery during our trip down in Margaret River. Entry is supposed to be free as per website with donations appreciated but we were told the entry fee per person instead of free will donations. Lots of precious well preserved and maintained items from the olden days, definitely worth a visit especially if you have children. Staff were lovely and very helpful in explaining and talking us through the history.

This was just excellent. Gerry was an excellent guide - super fun, helped us understand the process and get hands on (whilst also feeling very safe), helped us to personalise our glasses. Amazing to see someone so skilled (look at what he makes, it’s incredible) in action. Very immersive experience (he has you blowing the glass, shaping it with him etc.,). End product was also beautiful. Plus a great dog (Zeus) 10/10 would recommend.

We stumbled across this art studio some 2 years ago and have now just purchased our 5th piece of art from Phil. Phil has a passion for his contemporary artwork with a genuine connection with the areas he loves to paint. We love his artwork and have to say it is incredible reasonable given the passion he put into every piece.
When we come into the studio he always remembers our names and he remembers who purchases each piece of art. Phil's art is owned all over the world and he is incredibly humble given the quality of his work.
If you are looking for contemporary art then you must visit Phil O'Brien's Glenellie Art Studio but leave enough time to have a genuine conversation with a wonderful salt of the earth Margaret River local.

My mum and I enjoyed a fantastic private printmaking class with Francesco. We were able to select from a variety of process options (we chose solar plate printing and etching), for which he provided all the materials and gave really clear demonstrations and instructions.

Once we knew what we were doing, we were encouraged to be creative and experiment with different approaches. As we got stuck in, Francesco supported us at every step and actively prompted us to ask him questions about what we wanted to do - or any other aspect of printmaking we were curious about. He has a real wealth of knowledge on the subject!

We both enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our only regret was not booking a longer session.

We would both highly recommend taking a class with Francesco if you’re in the Margaret River area and looking to do something creative. All levels of experience are accommodated.

    Thanks Francesco!
