Really beautiful grounds to visit and staff were lovely. Well worth a visit to a big winery like this but don’t forget to go to some of the smaller wineries too.

What a fabulous place. 20 min drive from Margaret River and on the way we were wondering if it would be worth it, but I had seen some recipes from their website and wanted to buy some of the products. It was totally a highlight of our trip to the region - very relaxing, fabulous cottage garden, and a proper licenced cafe with a great menu. We were there in the morning, not expecting it to be more than a morning tea kind of place, but would have loved to be there at lunchtime as the full menu looked awesome. We had tea/coffee and shared a scone (very big) and the boysenberry pies coming out looked huge. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere in the garden was super relaxing. We went into the farm shop to stock up on chutneys and jams as well. Will definitely go back there on another trip down South and go at lunchtime for a proper meal.

The first vines were planted at Cape Mentelle in 1970, making it the fifth oldest winery in the Margaret River region. Since then, Cape Mentelle has gained an awesome reputation fot its wines, making it a benchmark for the region. The colonial-style estate and barrel house have become a magnet for visitors who want a gourmet-style meal, with estate-grown wines. Among Cape Mentelle's most-admired wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. No matter where you come from, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Stunning estate, very friendly staff who put in the time and effort to talk through the wines (even just before closing). We would love to come here again. The art gallery downstairs is beautiful too! One tip: check the maps and don’t take the horrible dirt road entrance of Steven’s Road. The road is in very poor condition, so approach from the north end instead!!

This was my second visit in this half a year. We ordered the Taste Plate and enjoyed the food. It was a long weekend, and fortunately, we booked a table. While waiting for our food, we tasted a few wines. Peter and Jane were very hospitable hosts. As before, I found the wines very good. I liked the Late Harvest Semillon.
Woody Nook is a place I would bring my friends to enjoy a wine tasting and meal experience.

Visited to taste the wines but ended up having the lunch. The wines were a little dry for my taste and cant say i found it amusing when a member of staff Mocked my pronunciation of Riesling in the cellar door, but the restaurant was another matter. Staff were friendly and attentive , the food was fabulous . Great value for money.

Amazing winery and restaurant. We tasted before went for lunch, beautiful tasting room with views of vines. Restaurant decor is amazing with wonderful views of vineyards. Food is exceptional. Can highly recommend Fish Wings and Lamb Rack. Serves are large. Added bonus you can order 1/2 bottles of wine.

Good service, nice wines. First winery we visited in Margaret River as I remembered the name from many years ago from a Sparking white. They haven’t produced that for many years it appears. Good quality wines, some a bit expensive but worth a try. Service was friendly and efficient.

We visited this vineyard as one of three on a wine tour of Margaret River via Harvest Tours. I can’t remember the lady’s name that looked after us but she was the daughter of Steve, our driver for the day and both are very knowledgeable and interesting. We tried 12 different wines and also were given a small plate/taster of cheese, meat and a biscuit. Very enjoyable.

This was the last vineyard on our full-day’s tour so our group had all got to know one another a bit however, the friendly, funny yet knowledgeable host and owner Matt made this visit extra special for us.
He easily blended interesting facts about the development of his vineyard with jokes and banter throughout the tastings so we all felt relaxed and at ease.
Next time we go we may take up the option of their campground, which includes complimentary wine tasting too…
It almost goes without saying that we bought a few bottles to enjoy at home, including their ‘pièce de resistance’ wine that’s fortified - imaginatively abbreviated to WTF!

Beautiful place - lovely to sit and sip wine, looking out over the lake and the karri trees. The wines were lovely - and described with real care. Well worth a visit.

Our recent lunch at Arimia exceeded all expectations. The staff were professional and informative but also personable. All questions we asked were answered without any sign of it being a hassle, which is always nice! The food was exquisite, both in taste and presentation. Each course was described by the staff once it was brought to the table, and the wine pairing (optional) was spot on. The sake was a nice touch! There was good time between courses so that we didn't feel rushed, and we relaxed on the chairs in the garden afterwards. We highly recommend this winery/restaurant for its sustainable approach to providing excellent food and wines, and for considerate and professional service.

This was yet another small winery that I had never visited nor known about until we went there on a wine tour. This is a small family winery with a superb selection of wines.

Tastings are free here if you purchase wine. The lady was funny and pleasant and our small group was made to feel welcomed. This is going to be one of our regular winery pitstops in the future.

This is a little gem of a winery that produces high quality in low volumes. The chardonnay and reserve cab sav are excellent value for money. I did a cheese plate to match the tasting and a lot of thought had gone into selecting the best matches. They know their stuff here.

A modest space with a lovely outlook over a dam. A very pleasant lady served us - chatty, informative - and offering home grown tomatoes to buy as well wine to taste.
