Beautiful scenery and countless quaint small towns with interesting stories dating far back in history. Mildura is a impressive and beautiful city in the North West of Victoria on the Murray River. Lots to explore in this "bread basket" of Melbourne. Stay was too short in this beautiful part of the world. Only issue we had was the guy working behind the counter was hard to find when we arrived and didn’t speak to us at all . His face was expressionless and he was not welcoming at all . Inland waterways are unfamiliar to most coastal dwellers, so it pays to keep an eye on youngsters; conditions can change overnight. There's enough space to spread a towel; it's a good place to cool off away from the crowds. There is a variety of local businesses, growers, artists etc. you would enjoy that for sure.
