Eastern beach is a great place to take your friends and family on a hot day out. Their are a couple of IceCream trucks to choose from, a Ferris Wheel, a lovely promenade to walk on, and an amazing peer to swim around. The hours go by so fast because of all the fun that we had. I would definitely come here again!

Beautifully set out gardens with lots of history behind the gardens. The glasshouse was beautiful to walk through with unusual plants displayed very creatively.

Very informative talk given by person who operated the loom in the mill 20 years ago. Lots of art instalments they change up regularly, very easy to self direct around the exhibitions.

There was so much to do here and we could have stayed a lot longer if car parking wasn't running out!
It is all geared to children having a go at music, science, acting, painting a real car!
The staff were good at relating to the children.
There was great attention paid to keeping the place clean and tidy.

I enjoyed the short walk and the scenic views, the sound of birds singing and the water running over the rocks was calming and peaceful.

What a quirky little hidden gem. Walked along the Barwon River from our caravan park and thought we would go in. Walked past a security guard on the gate and then down between the old Wool Mill buildings thinking it was very quiet and were we in the right place and then you turn a corner and hear the great music and lots of people talking. Lovely atmosphere and a great vibe sitting in the laneway (or you can sit inside a huge warehouse) trying a tasting paddle of nice beer. The food looked amazing as well. Shame we didn't look here earlier in our stay as they also do tours on certain days.

Interesting insight into the old prison and some very interesting stories about some of the prisoners, they also run ghost tours at night and do tours for large groups.

I almost gave this a 3 and it's far too small and deserves more art pieces, but I went for a 4 as it's still worth a visit. It was only 2 large rooms and 2 smaller rooms. I would recommend going in, but not much time is needed.
There were 2 temporary exhibitions upstairs, one showcasing indigenous artists which was definitely the highlight, and one by what I think was a local artist which was a bit confusing. The permanent exhibitions downstairs were mostly of what seemed to be 18th/19th century artifacts, nice enough but a bit basic.
It's free entry and they accept donations, but you could see everything inside in about 15 to 20 minutes. I feel like more space could have been made available for more artists.

My wife has always loved carousels so was instantly attracted to this indoor refurbished nineteenth century example which adults can ride. I counted her ride as 14 circuits which represented good value for money. Allowing parents to stand alongside their children who were taking a ride was a sensible arrangement.

Visited here on the way back from the twelve apostles. Really lovely place where you can interact and feed the animals. Was able to pet a kangaroo and feed an emu.

Lovely summer evening and Geelong foreshore a beaut choice to visit.
Walk up and back on Cunningham Pier a delight.
Lovely for sea-land views, watching keen fisherman
& pausing for cool refreshments up top.

Popped into the waterfront info centre upon arrival in Geelong, had a look at the carousel and got lots of tips from a lady who I think is a volunteer there. She asked about our preferences (an escape from Melbourne, travelling by public transport, looking for budget dining options), and then helped us plan our day in five minutes, gave us the maps and also suggested ideas for our future visits. She was very helpful and made us excited about the day rather than stressed about where to go and what to see. Thanks!
