Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely gondola ride above the gorge into the rainforest surrounds.
Amazing to see the suspension bridge and surrounding forest from above!

The staff everywhere were so friendly and helpful. The morning tea at the top is fantastic!

A very informative guide. Free for Tasmanians which is a nice gesture. And the beer tasting was a bonus , getting 3 different beers to taste.

Fun park to visit with monkeys! Lovely conservatory and nice gardens with occasional signs telling of the history. A must for every visit to Launceston which takes less than half an hour

We did a self drive winery tour of the Tamar valley and it was so great. Lots of little quirky wineries run by the couples that own them. Loved it!

Absolutely excellent! The same chairlift since 1972 & it's super cool! The views are just stunning with the lake, pool & walking tracks. Like that it didn't go too fast & chairs were well spaced out. Appreciated the voucher in the entertainment book too!

On an afternoon out we took a late visit to enjoy a drink or two and something light to eat. We sat outdoors in the lovely garden settings and enjoyed a couple of glasses of their fine wine and a tasty platter of local produce. The staff were friendly and the service was spot on.

The views were amazing, especially Cataract Gorge. We were lucky to arrive a day after the Trevallyan Walk reopened after an extended hiatus and were able to experience the full beauty of the gorge. We will be back!

Excellent staff - happy and helpful - chatty with good humoured discussions on the differences between us New Zealanders and those of Oz. Nice relaxing trip across and return later. Even able to chat to people on the ground below

Wandered around the area checking out the sights and the info plaques scattered around on both sides of the suspension bridge. Worth a wander at a relaxed pace

Lovely pub and really nice decor in an old building. Excellent variety of beverages and their own beer was great. We enjoyed a Lamb Burger (not the menu one, it was a special) and it was delicious, the hazelnuts were a great addition. Had a great chat with the barman too.

We walked through this lovely park on a number of occasions travelling from our accommodation to various cafes and restaurants.

The park area was originally a claypit used to make bricks then a military drill ground before being established as a park in 1858. It was officially opened a year later in 1859 when the historic Val d'Osne Fountain was turned on.

The beautiful fountain, which appears to be located in the centre of the park, is the central point for the meeting of the main paths that run diagonally from each corner. There is also a main pathway that runs around the perimeter.

The trees, many of them elms with some oaks, and plants are very lush and there is also a vast expanse of grass and a good number of seats.

At the corner of one entrance to the park is a statue of Dr William Pugh who reportedly was the first doctor to use general anaesthetic in the Southern Hemisphere for a surgical operation.
