Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- JWalkSydney, Australia5 contributionsWe did a self drive winery tour of the Tamar valley and it was so great. Lots of little quirky wineries run by the couples that own them. Loved it!Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mumma&CoTimaru, New Zealand7,036 contributionsAbsolutely excellent! The same chairlift since 1972 & it's super cool! The views are just stunning with the lake, pool & walking tracks. Like that it didn't go too fast & chairs were well spaced out. Appreciated the voucher in the entertainment book too!Written 29 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - stubbsp08Kellyville, Australia16 contributionsReally enjoyed this fabulous river cruise of Tamar Valley and Cataract Gorge. The crew were amazing and Captain Callum has a wealth of knowledge about the local area. Service on board was exceptional. Abundance of food and local wine / beer tasting an added treat. Cannot recommend more highly.Written 8 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SydneyTravellerSydney470 contributionsWe’d been here a few years ago on our last trip to Tasmania, and the kids had loved it so much, we came back.
The team at Hollybank Adventures is so organised and it is so well run with safety always at the forefront of their minds, that it’s a pleasure to support this business. They were also kind enough to change the date of our booking at no extra cost, as our plans had changed.
The kids did the ropes course again and loved it. This time the second activity they chose was the Segway, instead of the mountain bikes again and my husband joined them. They had lots of fun, but unfortunately my husband fell off and was injured (it was his fault because he wedged himself between 2 trees by accident).
My husband and I drove to lilydale falls nearby and did the 20 min beautiful walk whilst the kids did the ropes course. I’d highly recommend it too.
I also went for a walk around the area when they were on the Segway and came back and had an excellent chai latte and sat on a sofa by the fire at reception whilst I waited for them to come back.
I’d advise anyone doing the Segway to wear very warm clothes around this time of the year (April) because they said it was freezing with the wind from the movement and being in the shade.Written 26 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J TSydney, Australia98 contributionsWe had Jeremy (owner and driver today) who has a wealth of knowledge and lives locally. We did the whole day trip and on this occasion we were the only two on the tour.
The van was comfy and the selection of wineries was perfect. We did 5 wineries with lunch (seasonal charcuterie platter pictured) and a cheese platter at the end. We have dietaries and Jeremy was careful to cater for them.
We were able to send some Wines home too!

- Navigator482024760711 contributionFabulous way to see the rugged country of Tasmania. It is well worth the expense.
Whitesands Estate and Ironhouse Brewery were magnificent. The quaint little Pub in the Paddock and the quiet Derby Pub allowed us to get under the covers of life in Tasmania's interior. A must do when in Tasmania.Written 24 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
