Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- JWalkSydney, Australia5 contributionsWe did a self drive winery tour of the Tamar valley and it was so great. Lots of little quirky wineries run by the couples that own them. Loved it!Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SineadEACanberra, Australia238 contributionsRecently saw the nature photography exhibit and it was so well put together with a good amount of space. Brilliantly executed. The shop also had some wonderful gifts that were mostly local which was really refreshingWritten 3 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mumma&CoTimaru, New Zealand7,023 contributionsAbsolutely excellent! The same chairlift since 1972 & it's super cool! The views are just stunning with the lake, pool & walking tracks. Like that it didn't go too fast & chairs were well spaced out. Appreciated the voucher in the entertainment book too!Written 29 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - allancamer0nSydney, Australia37 contributionsThe views were amazing, especially Cataract Gorge. We were lucky to arrive a day after the Trevallyan Walk reopened after an extended hiatus and were able to experience the full beauty of the gorge. We will be back!Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- juliematt202115 contributionsI really liked the adventures, the cliff walk and zip lining being extremely enjoyable. The reason why I rated this 4 / 5 is because 1. My mum found the zip line too fast and the bridges too ‘swingy’. (It should be noted that I loved the zip lines and rope bridges because of those reasons) and 2. The dark ride was slightly boring.
In conclusion I would highly suggest this adventure park, being very fun, super cool and enjoyable. However, would suggest not doing the boat ride and stick to the wall climb, zip line and cliff walk.

I may have a connection with the zoo industry on the mainland, so I might know a tiny bit more than your average visitor. Then again, maybe I don't. There were very few cars in the car park, so that meant there wouldn't be too many kids there. Score! (Actually, the adults were worse.)
Many enclosures look the same: green metal sheets and wire mesh fencing. So it doesn't quite look as fancy as other zoos with their glass and walls. But the animals generally don't care. The sizing of the enclosures was pretty good overall, although it would be nicer to see some larger enclosures for the birds; perhaps more could share the same enclosure. A couple of enclosures could do with some more shade too.
We saw animals in most enclosures, and all seemed to be well looked after. All enclosures were recently cleaned, and where there was food, it was fresh. We saw multiple keepers/staff on their rounds.
I overheard one visitor showing off her animal behaviour knowledge, telling her friends and family how the male white-cheeked gibbon was depressed. Firstly, she was female, and on the contrary, she was very engaged with her environment and her offspring - which was adorable. We had to avoid them for the rest of the afternoon, as I may have wanted to strangle her or feed her to the lazy lions.
There were some new animals for me - the silvery gibbon captivated my heart. The many monkeys, red pandas, cheetahs, and the white-cheeked gibbon couple (Is that you Jin?) were also highlights. The giraffes have a really big enclosure. I assume it was newly expanded. We didn't get to see Sikari, the snow leopard, who has the option to remain out of view. Maybe he longs to be back in Melbourne. If only he was closer to Jin, they could plot their escape.
If you do go, please visit the Mandrill for a chat. There is only one, and they seemed a little lonely and would appreciate some company. Fingers crossed, the zoo might get them a friend, oh, and a toilet for humans at that end of the zoo.
Otherwise, it was a fantastic afternoon - lots of information panels, well-looked-after animals, and not too many other visitors. I certainly learned a thing or two.Written 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - firemanwazSunbury, Australia10 contributionsA fascinating delve into not only Tasmania's history, but Australia's as well. Well worth a visit. We spent over 2 hours looking around the estate. Our guide was extremely well informed and knew her history very well. - ToowoombatouristToowoomba, Australia297 contributionsRun entirely by volunteers, this small but impressive tram museum is a little gem!
Cheap as chips to enter the museum and have a short, but enjoyable ride, on the restored tram. The displays are informative and extremely professional ...even a non- tram enthusiast can find things to look at while browsing through the small shed.
The devoted volunteers make this place as special as it is - their devotion to the details in the restorations and their personal knowledge of the Tasmanian tram system is priceless.
A little tourist gem, that should be given as much assistance as possible to expand in the future.Written 16 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
