  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic tour would highly recommend to anyone. Our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable about everything on this tour. Especially about Gustav Weindorfer. I loved seeing wombats in the wild. There was plenty of time to take in all of the breathtaking scenery and the walks were nice and short (especially when you have a teenager with you). I also like the fact it was a small group.

We just completed our Explorer 6 Tasmania Tour and our tour leader was Hadyn Chilcott. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our adventures! The itinerary gave us a very good introduction to your beautiful state. Our favorite days were the trips to Bay of Fires and Cradle Mountain/Strahan. All of our requested accommodations were excellent.

We feel very fortunate to have had Hadyn as our tour leader. He was always prompt, professional and accommodating to the group's needs and interests with the itinerary. His incredible knowledge of the flora and fauna of the areas we visited truly enriched our experience. Hadyn's positive attitude and excellent enthusiasm and energy were contagious -- we were always excited to see where we were going each day. By the end of the tour, it seemed like we had made a good friend who took us to all the best parts of Tasmania.

Many thanks again for our adventure. We leave Tasmania with wonderful memories of the beautiful places and very friendly people we were fortunate to experience.

I can honestly say that this trip was fantastic. Our drivers,Trevor and Graeme, were exceptional. They were fun and were able to answer all our (my?!!) questions.
Without Trevor’s help, I would not have completed the walk to Wineglass Bay lookout without possibly holding the group back. It was harder than I thought and with age and resulting lower fitness not on my side, it was a struggle. Without a rail I felt unsteady and I don’t normally have trouble with tour outings. Trevor was simply incredible. He stayed with me all the way to make sure I made it. His knowledge was awesome in everything Tasmanian (and lots of topics not) and he made it the most wonderful day. If older, please be aware it is not an easy walk- harder than I thought.
The bakery staff where we stopped to buy our lunch were wonderful but there was not a lot there for vegan or vegetarian. However, the staff quickly made me a salad sandwich that was most appreciated. If concerned, better to take your own. Plenty of beautiful sight seeing at bathroom stops as well.
I would definitely recommend this trip, especially with these fantastic guides.

Decent way to get from Launceston to Hobart and the big 3, guides were friendly and knowledgeable.

It was raining pretty much constantly during our first two days (cradle mountain and wineglass bay) but we still had a good time, the views were awesome despite the rain and fog. We also got to see lots of wombats which are really cute.

The third day to Port Arthur is the only reason we didn't want to give the tour five stars. I wish we could spend more time in Port Arthur instead of the Unzoo (which was okay but unremarkable) and Richmond (lovely town but by the time we got there most shops have already closed). The Port Arthur ferry was also really underwhelming.

We had the most wonderful time. Tasmania is a wonderful place full of diversity. We saw so many aspects of its history and culture. Our tour guide/driver, Dean was so knowledgeable that there were few questions that he had no answer to. The ones he didn't know, he researched for us. Being elderly, he kept the pace appropriate for us and was very helpful and sensitive to our needs. The group were very friendly and the whole trip from start to finish was really enjoyable. I can't speak too highly of it.

The cultural learnings gained while on the Wukalina walk elevate it to more than just a walk. It's really offers a unique opportunity to walk on country with Tasmanian first nations people and learn insights into their culture, philosophy and history. I think we were all touched by the very heartfelt openness of the guides to share their cultural knowledge. I think for the first time I really understood the depths of their connection to country...and that is something all Australians can celebrate and learn from.
The accommodation and food was outstanding throughout the walk, as was the organisation. The bush camp at Krakani lumi is very thoughtfully designed and sympathetic to country and yes wthere are hot showers! A highlight was walking along the beautiful bays to finish at Larapuna, where we stayed for our last night in the granite lighthouse cottages and took in expansive views revealling our jouney over the past few days through Mt William National Park.
I think we all left with our eyes opened to the deep knowledge and understanding of this land that our first nations people have. Wukalina walk is a wonderful initiative bringing education and through education comes mutual undersanding and respect. What a great nation we will be, if we can all embrace and celebrate our first nations culture and teachings.

FT Tours - welcoming, efficient and creatively helpful. Good organisation.
Know their schedules and options very well. Morgan Wilson and Dean Huff are good operators and very personable. Dean is an incredible guide, -knowledgeable, incredibly well researched and genuinely passionate + he has good relationships with tourism operators and suppliers all over Tasmania.
Both East and West Coast tours were exceptional value. Highlight - Wall in the Wilderness (Must See). Gold Rush Inn in Queenstown was a pleasant surprise - another very well operated business.
Thank you to ALL involved operators and guests.
