Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great guide (Dale), very knowledgeable but not in a “know it all” kinda way. I really enjoyed the commentary along the way, and we were blessed with a great day for it. Superb views and photo opportunities. Topped off by seeing a wombat and echidna. Decent lunch too. Cheers!

A very enjoyable day ,Jan was great and very knowledgeable and a fantastic tour guide .I loved the boutique wineries and the different methods of producing really good wines . I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn about wine and also for those who are more knowledgeable but are looking for unusual wine makers with innovative ideas.

My husband and I had the most pleasant day on this wine tour.

Dave was our wonderful guide and there was only one other couple on the tour with us at the time.

Every winery had its uniqueness and we loved meeting the owners of these boutique wineries and hearing their stories.

The lunch grazing platter was delicious. There was no pressure to buy any wines from the wineries, but the ease of ordering wines from each winery and having them sent back to QLD was perfect for us.

Fantastic tour would highly recommend to anyone. Our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable about everything on this tour. Especially about Gustav Weindorfer. I loved seeing wombats in the wild. There was plenty of time to take in all of the breathtaking scenery and the walks were nice and short (especially when you have a teenager with you). I also like the fact it was a small group.

Wonderful way to experience the Tamar River n Cataract Gorge, the slow cruise up the gorge was fabulous with plenty of opportunities to take photos and listen to the commentary. Unfortunately we had to sit out on the back deck (no room inside) on plastic garden chairs for 4 hours and the noise of the engine made the commentary completely inaudible for the entire trip up to the Batman Bridge and back. The plastic windows were very hard to see through so the trip was spent looking out a gap in the back. Moving up to the front deck for photos was a great opportunity. When in full throttle the boat created quite a wake and as it came to a quick stop to see the wildlife the wake washed into the back of the boat making it wet n sloppy. Any bags on the floor would have got very wet. Lovely morning tea n lunch served on the boat, with self serve tea n coffee. Plenty of muffins n cake. Rolls n focaccia with plenty of filling, fruit n cheese platter …certainly enjoyed by those seated inside. This is a fantastic cruise opportunity but just make sure you get a seat inside or upstairs.

Eamonn was a delight. He was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. He took us to some amazing wineries and we met our sprit animal at the gin joint! we met some great hosts at the vineyards who knew their wine. Bonus was that out purchases can be posted back to Melbourne and we continue enjoying our Tasmanian wines.

An incredible 5 days - full of fun, laughter and memories. Tom was an incredible guide who had a passion for the landscape and nature. His knowledge of the area made it an unforgettable week. The tour itself takes in many highlights of Tasmania with incredible scenery and views.

Our captain was a good storyteller and a passionate of Launceston history. Although we could not have a very close view of the cataract because of recent floods, The approach to the George gorge was spectacular, navigating under old bridges and between carved rocks. We had a pleasant 50-minute journey and learnt about those who made Launceston and the importance of the Tamar River to the history of the settlement. Ther many children on board enjoyed the trip, trying to see water birds and baby black swans.
