Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Travel_addict13_10Australia654 contributionsWe loved this market. So many good things to eat, so many interesting things to buy for ourselves and for gifts. We happily spent a couple of hours there. Well worth it.Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul TArmstrong Creek, Australia141 contributionsIf you are into Salvadore Dali or just curious about the man, this hidden gem is a must see, if you can find it! We almost walked right past it despite being on a main road of Launceston! This museum has the largest collection of Dali prints and works in Australia. We spent a good hour or so wandering around marveling at the variety of work and topics while trying to work out what was going through his mind to create such unusual depictions of some topics. It really is a must see.Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kay CMelbourne, Australia300 contributionsWe love Peter and Anne’s works. A most interesting experience to watch artists at work. Both are well known artists who have pieces in many major/National Art Galleries. If you like beautiful unusual and eye-catching collectible artwork, go and visit Peter and Anne. They are also very friendly.Written 1 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Greg C39 contributionsMy wife and I visited the shop just to have a look. The wife ended up buying some things. Prices where good for what you get. My wife was so happy with the prices and products that she went back an hour later to get some more stuff from there.Written 31 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dingo_6152Fremantle, Australia3,340 contributionsWe weren't actually planning on visiting the gallery but just happened to be that end of town and thought that whilst we were there we'd explore - so glad we did.
Located in a grand old building - the first thing we saw was the exhibition of works by Alistair Mooney, then the dioramas by Anne Zahalka (which reminded of my museum experiences as a child), but the best was the permanent gallery on the First Tasmanians - so well set out and informative. The upstairs galleries contained some more elective works/displays (including works by Garry Greenwood).
I was really impressed with this gallery and that it was free to all members of the public.Written 20 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great landscapes, nudes and animals. The setting of the gallery on St Georges Square is beautiful - and there's a cafe next door. I recommend visiting!Written 3 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Quentin MBrisbane, Australia54 contributionsLovely folksy market. What it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in welcome and authenticity/quirky. Likable local musical entertainment, Good coffee and home-cooked selections. A little more basic outside seating would help as the demographic is older. Would happily be a regular!Written 6 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- westy54Sydney, Australia13,405 contributionsThe Brisbane Street Mall stretches between Charles and St John Streets and is flanked on both sides by a variety of retail shops.
Couple of statues, one of Tasmanian Tigers, at either end and some seats for bored non-shoppers.
Not a must see.Written 20 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really brilliant initiative which seems genuinely ethical. A relaxed environment and we were encouraged to rummage through the paintings and move them around to view properly if we wish. A must-see gallery if you are in Launceston!Written 16 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark GMelbourne, Australia13 contributionsIn 25 years I hadn't trusted anyone with the repair of my treasured 1847 Priess clock until I by chance walked past Graham's shop. 2 months later I was speechless when he showed me the result, magnificently restored with manufactured parts to replace the damaged and missing ones. 5 years on and it is keeping perfect time. The restoration was actually cheaper than the quote.Written 19 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
