Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pier needs a lick of paint and some TLC., but very popular with the locals looking for a bit of sea breeze in their lungsWritten 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert DBrooklyn, New York5,465 contributionsThe Bay Discovery Centre Museum had an exhibit on "Truth" in which they show both European and Aboriginal points of view. There are exhibits on the history of the area, its popularity as a beach resort, and how it has changed over the years.Written 7 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul SAdelaide, Australia3,630 contributionsMost people who visit Glenelg will at least pass through Moseley Square. It is the site of the tram terminus, and the link between Jetty Road and the pier. It is planted with tall graceful date palms, and there are many eating places close by. In the Square there is a large water play area for the children (and adults?) with fountain jets which spurt up unexpectedly. Another feature is the Pioneer Memorial celebrating the settling of South Australia. I have always loved the bronze replica of 'The Buffalo' at the top. Unfortunately over the summer months the effect is destroyed completely by the large toy ferris wheel sitting immediately behind it. The pioneers would not have approved! Surely there must be a better nearby location for this ... ?Written 27 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris CLondon, UK18 contributionsWe stumbled across this place quite by accident and was drawn by the colouful artworks. Inside, we spoke with the founder and were inspired to hear how she had established the shop for her daughter. It is a most inspirational story which I won't spoil here. Just go along and discover for yourself. The artworks are beautiful and you may meet Grace as we did.Written 27 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - platypus150Melbourne, Australia33,335 contributionsThere is a huge expanse of lawns close to the shops and with tall buildings providing shade in the afternoons. All the way up and down are a great selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and gelato shops. They cater for everything from high end dining to take away. The shops are mainly targeting beach ware. This road is a great place to spend an afternoon.Written 29 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PeterGlasgow, UK3,287 contributionsA decent walk but if our lunch is any indication there is no good food to be had here.
Close to the airport flight path, but with a decent marina.
We had 3 poor food items and noted plenty frozen food being delivered.
Took ages to be served 2 simple pasta dishes. We had one taken off the bill and don’t recommend the Marina as the place to eat.Written 30 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
