Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took the train from Adelaide. The beach is very pretty although there is no shade (seems typical of Australian beaches). We put our towels under the pier for some shade. The water was flat and warm in the morning. Very nice. There is a beach club right there so we had lunch and relaxed in the afternoon on their comfy couches.

Good place for an evening stroll after a hot day
The pier needs a lick of paint and some TLC., but very popular with the locals looking for a bit of sea breeze in their lungs

The Centre is centrally and conveniently located in the Town Hall building on Glenelg beach. It was spacious and well-displayed, with various brochures and maps available. We were fortunate to be assisted by Geoffrey, who is very knowledgeable about locations and up-to-date local activities, yet with such a relaxing style, it made an excellent start to our visit during the first hour in Adelaide.

The Bay Discovery Centre Museum had an exhibit on "Truth" in which they show both European and Aboriginal points of view. There are exhibits on the history of the area, its popularity as a beach resort, and how it has changed over the years.

Talented artist with a positively heartwarming story & a very proud mum. I didn’t know what to purchase first, it was all so lovely, colourful and beautiful Australian Flora & scenery. Worth a visit.

Could be one of those places that raises issues, but still a memorial to the founding of the colony of South Australia.

This Square is the city tram terminus and leads to the pier and beach. It is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and accommodation. All price ranges are represented and it is a great place to start.

The park is a pleasant strip of green that backs up Glenelg Beach which honors Jimmy Melrose, a pilot who at 21 completed the London to melbourne Air Race in a Puss Moth.

There is a huge expanse of lawns close to the shops and with tall buildings providing shade in the afternoons. A rotunda and a spot to picnic complete the story

Beautiful area by the marina, with a playground my kid loved! Benches, shaded areas, public toilets, barbecue, water bubblers, and of course the historic tram and café. Highly recommended for a play.

Large marble monument located next to Town Hall and Moseley Square. Erected in 1936 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the State of South Australia.

The Marina Pier was a short stroll from our hotel and it has a wonderful selection of specialty bars, shops and restaurants, well worth a visit.
