This soap making class was a long time coming, being a gift voucher from Xmas ‘19.
Unfortunately we are on the Tweed Heads NSW side and the ‘Craft Parlour’ is based in Burleigh QSLD. It’s just up the road but with the lockdowns we couldn’t cross the border. The girls were fantastic, letting the vouchers run till Xmas’22. I booked x2 spots for the soap-making classes in Jan’23. My daughter regrettably couldn’t attend with me and it was too late to get a replacement. As per their policy there was no refund or credit. Rachael suggested that I could possibly make up an extra soap as it was already paid for. This was a great idea and our beautiful Teacher Deb used the demonstration soap she made in class for my daughter. Deb was a great teacher, very calm, interesting, helpful and loves her craft. You can’t help but enjoy yourself and the cuppa and cake we had, went down well too.
I loved learning from Deb and she encouraged us to contact her if we had any more questions. I actually made another batch of soap with my daughter last weekend which turned out even better than before.
The only downside….Parking was horrendous. After about 4 loops of the area, I had to park around the corner down a side street from the Craft Parlour. It did take me awhile to park, so maybe leave in plenty of time.
This was just unlucky on my part I think.
