We saw 3 playful whales, 2 pods of dolphins, schools of spawning fish and a New Zealand fur seal. The tour boat was easy to access, comfortable and had uninterrupted views. Comfortable weather jackets are supplied. This walk is accessible to just about everyone as it is not too strenuous and is on fairly level surfaces. Awesome to see the beaches and cliff faces from a completely different view. I booked this private excursion and it was agreed we would be picked up at the dock. Unfortunately, local rules changed & private tour buses could no longer access the dock. We did not get this information but the tour guide was persistent in locating us and thru the kindness of dock volunteers, we connected with the tour guide in town at least an hour late. Our Lake tour today with CoastXP gave us a great new perspective of our Lake - from the middle looking out, rather than the edges looking in. Lunch was yummy! The crew - Dom and Jane - were friendly and professional, especially with regard to safety. The boat was in excellent order - exceedingly well maintained and presented. We enjoyed hearing some of teh history of teh local buildings and the city of Newcastle. We visited three interesting pubs/restaurants with food provided at two of them as part of the tour. The food at our last stop, the Spanish restaurant, Bocado, was excellent.
