Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Schlepper1939Brisbane Region, Australia888 contributionsThis peaceful and well laid out garden is well worth a visit if visiting Albury. Unfortunately we had insufficient time to do it justice, but is on our list for a return visit when we have more time to fully appreciate it.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - C...Victoria, Australia93,726 contributionsTalking technically the dam's purpose includes flood mitigation, hydro-power, irrigation, water supply and conservation...but to the locals it's a bit of a water wonderland where you can partake in wakeboarding, water skiing, tube riding and swimming... if you know where the accessible areas are.
I visited the dam and went for a walk over it, and the vistas are breathtaking... being scared of heights, I found I could not stand too close to the edge at the midpoint... but nevertheless I pushed myself to walk, rather than take photos at the edge.
Whilst I was there in Autumn - a cooler month- the azure sky above me and the beautiful greens and blues of the landscape made for a truly stunning walk. Add in the historical boards that I could stop to read and all was right in the world for me.
There is a formalised carpark, toilets, picnic and BBQ facilities located here.Written 23 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A most impressive monument over looking Albury. Poignant and well worth a visit, both to reflect at the monument and to enjoy the views across the town,
Highly recommended.Written 29 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Noreuil was the scene of a fierce engagement between Australian troops and the Germans on 15 April 1917.
Interesting... I did not see any information signs to give you that background, but then I was only there for about forty minutes. It's also not my first time to the park... I have grabbed takeaway from a bakery nearby on another occasion to eat here and found it to be peaceful.
On a recent trip, my co-worker and I were making our way back to our accommodation and I insisted on going for a walk through the park... he was happy to join me. Immediately we were impressed with the show that nature put on for us with the light across the water.
Everything about this park sings ... it has well maintained lawns and paths... with a boardwalk next to the river. Toilet facilities and BBQ facilities... Fitness equipment and a playground... views of the river. Landscaped lawns and established trees. The blending of nature with the city scape is thoughtfully done.Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rafael AciĂ©n MartĂnez103 contributionsA nice place to walk, If you are living in Albury or you are here passing by, this place it is a good spot to spend some time.
You will enjoy the walk as well the different kind of animals that you would be able to see (up to the season) such as Pelicans, turtles along different kind of birds. If you are lucky you may see the platypus.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Add to this the library a cool place to relax out of the heat to read a book or go on the net. The information centre is also there as it has moved from the building near the train stationWritten 18 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sally b12 contributionsThe walk or cycle along the riverbank is so gorgeous you run the risk of getting sucked into the bush and never returning. I just couldn't turn back because I didn't want to miss what was around the next bend. Gorgeous sandy riverbanks, wetlands, birds, birds, birds, and an utterly stunning sunny winter's day. I love the Murray! Who knew?Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- maryan5456Sydney, Australia161 contributionsThe single staff member at the Tourist Information was very pleasant and knowledgeable. There was a fair amount of literature that she gave us to study for our cycling on the nearby rail trails. It’s located near the railway station in Albury and is very central.Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - C...Victoria, Australia93,726 contributionsWith a background in farming and the Fire Brigade, Albert enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force as a private and was posted to 'B' Company, 26th Battalion, on 24 May, 1915. After training in Egypt his unit landed at Gallipoli on 12 September and Borella, who was promoted corporal later that month, served there until November.
In January 1917 he was promoted to sergeant, and in March was awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery at Malt Trench, Warlencourt. He fought at Morlancourt and Hamel and on 17 July, for 'most conspicuous bravery in attack' at Villers-Bretonneux, won the Victoria Cross. While leading his platoon in an assault on an enemy support-trench, he noticed a machine-gun firing through the Australian barrage; he ran out ahead of his men into the barrage, shot the gunners with his revolver and captured the gun. He then led a small party against the strongly held trench, bombed two dug-outs and took thirty prisoners.
Albert was a really remarkable man... he was racking up medals and probably just thinking that was his job. The memorial, located outside of a nursery, was commissioned by George and Debra Benyon and built in honour of Albury’s only Victoria Cross recipient Captain Albert Borella VC, MM, MID..Written 23 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Misters keep the heat at bay and there’s always sport on the telly and a pool table. You don’t need to dress up, but you can if you want. Nobody will hassle you if you don’t cause trouble. The bar staff are friendly. Go there if you like pubs and you’re thirsty or hungry.Written 5 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
