Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Schlepper1939Brisbane Region, Australia888 contributionsThis peaceful and well laid out garden is well worth a visit if visiting Albury. Unfortunately we had insufficient time to do it justice, but is on our list for a return visit when we have more time to fully appreciate it.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - C...Victoria, Australia93,749 contributionsTalking technically the dam's purpose includes flood mitigation, hydro-power, irrigation, water supply and conservation...but to the locals it's a bit of a water wonderland where you can partake in wakeboarding, water skiing, tube riding and swimming... if you know where the accessible areas are.
I visited the dam and went for a walk over it, and the vistas are breathtaking... being scared of heights, I found I could not stand too close to the edge at the midpoint... but nevertheless I pushed myself to walk, rather than take photos at the edge.
Whilst I was there in Autumn - a cooler month- the azure sky above me and the beautiful greens and blues of the landscape made for a truly stunning walk. Add in the historical boards that I could stop to read and all was right in the world for me.
There is a formalised carpark, toilets, picnic and BBQ facilities located here.Written 23 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Noreuil was the scene of a fierce engagement between Australian troops and the Germans on 15 April 1917.
Interesting... I did not see any information signs to give you that background, but then I was only there for about forty minutes. It's also not my first time to the park... I have grabbed takeaway from a bakery nearby on another occasion to eat here and found it to be peaceful.
On a recent trip, my co-worker and I were making our way back to our accommodation and I insisted on going for a walk through the park... he was happy to join me. Immediately we were impressed with the show that nature put on for us with the light across the water.
Everything about this park sings ... it has well maintained lawns and paths... with a boardwalk next to the river. Toilet facilities and BBQ facilities... Fitness equipment and a playground... views of the river. Landscaped lawns and established trees. The blending of nature with the city scape is thoughtfully done.Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rafael AciĂ©n MartĂnez103 contributionsA nice place to walk, If you are living in Albury or you are here passing by, this place it is a good spot to spend some time.
You will enjoy the walk as well the different kind of animals that you would be able to see (up to the season) such as Pelicans, turtles along different kind of birds. If you are lucky you may see the platypus.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I just couldn't turn back because I didn't want to miss what was around the next bend. Gorgeous sandy riverbanks, wetlands, birds, birds, birds, and an utterly stunning sunny winter's day. I love the Murray! Who knew?Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- AliceAlbury, Australia25 contributionsWhat a fantastic walk and terrific destinations. A real jewel in the regional crown for the district of Albury.
Walk from the Monument or the Botanic Gardens along the trail , beside the Might Murray River and past the 'Bat Viewing Area' (you can't miss them as they are very noisy!), for 30 mins and you reach the Kremur St Boat ramp (has toilets) then another 30 mins along the beautiful trail to Horseshoe Lagoon. Another 30 mins and you are at the Wonga Wetlands (has toilets).
It is possible to park and join the trail at each of those points.
The path is wide and amazingly popular.Written 9 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The area has beautiful wide streets and is quite lovely. I noticed a sporting ground with a playground off to one side.
I stopped my car next to it and got out to walk around. The playground equipment is well kept, I did notice there were a few items of rubbish... but any public space is only as good as the people visiting it. For the most part the area was clean and well kept.
The playground had a couple of slides and climbing frames, there were also swings. To note is the gorgeous shady trees around the edge of the park. There is also a bench seat and rubbish bin.Written 19 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
