Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went there early in the morning till the afternoon and it was awesome. I saw so many different birds and could hear even more of them. No matter where you walk/ hike, it‘s a sound experience in and of itself when you take into account all of the different bird sounds that you literally hear all the time. The tracks themselves are organized and it‘s hard to get lost if you take a good look at the map beforehand, but even if you don‘t, there are many maps with „you are here“ indicators along the way as well. The rainforest like forest that you walk through is also incredible, large ferns, palm trees and various other cool plants surround you at all times. If you are in Wellington, then you definitely have to check it out. I just bought the general admission ticket, which is valid for 48 hours, so I could hike where I wanted to but you can also book a tour. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting the ecosanctuary and just see it for yourself.

I hiked to the Mt Victoria lookout today and it is definitely worth a visit. The view is incredible no matter in which direction you look, it‘s really awesome. Additionally, there are several nice hiking tracks that you can use to get to the lookout rather than driving which I‘d definitely recommend, as the nature is incredible and there aren‘t many people so you can enjoy it on your own.

I walked along the Bay and the view is truly awesome. The water is also incredibly teal blue and pedestrian way is really wide and quite spacious. Definitely worth checking out when you’re in the area anyway. I was there at the onset of spring so I didn’t actually take a swim but even walking along the shore was worth it.

A nice peaceful way to spend an hour. Some unique pieces of art history either donated to commemorate a loved one or to remember visitors to Wellington like the US Marine Corp.

It’s free to enter but donations are welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at The Victorian Parfumery. We appreciated the history, the displays and the fragrances. Would definitely recommend.

Great tour of Wellington coast on a very windy afternoon in August - views along the path are breathtaking, my tour guide Kali stopped along the way to provide details on all the unique art and history - loved it. The turbo boost on the bikes was an added bonus when battling the winds and made it so much fun - paths are wide and allowed me to take in the views along the way - I want return and rent a second time before I leave the island next weekend!

This tour was 5 star. Phil provided excellent commentary between the stops and allowed us to experience the wine of Martinborough and the wild coast of Southeastrrn North island. It is a long day but well worth the time spent t.

We had a wet and windy winter walk with John L. It was not the most inviting day but our walk was fascinating. John took us around the Quay, the CBD, and some cultural insights such as the many artworks on the quay, the Governors House (which is beautiful inside) and the Archive where we could see the treaty exhibition. We also really appreciated going into the Supreme Court room. John had a wealth of historical and cultural information, as well as a very broad knowledge and understanding of the wider world so he understood both our perspective and many others. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and John L in particular. 😃

We thought the whole thing really fun despite drizzle; that cleared so we could sit up front. Thought the skipper and boats crew great friendly hosts....outdone by boats dog. Shrek?Shake? Was a star...really friendly and a character singing to songs on a great sound system. Be a great place for a work do or party. Am gonna do the sausage sizzle public charter if they offered again - apparently the eye fillet private sails are best. Just have to find some less tight wad friends....the booze on board is only 2/3rds price of surrounding bars but that logic doesn't seem to work.!!!

We have been to Wellington many times, and it was a pleasure to discover new places we would never have ventured into on our own. Stella was knowledgeable and friendly, we never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the who,e experience.
Helpful hint, don’t eat for a few days beforehand!
