Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Gavin D2 contributionsThere were 4 couples in a mini bus and Anthony showed us all the sights in 4 hours with great commentary and answers to questions. We got out of the bus many times, including at 2 high-point lookouts, 2 beach-side viewpoints, the world's steepest street, the University and the Weta Cave workshop for "Lord of the Rings" film-making. Anthony pointed out the film director's, Peter Jackson's, house and lots of other trivia. All passengers agreed that the tour was excellent value.Written 8 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Franci HSapulpa, OK4 contributionsWe had a wonderful day of food, wine and touring. Aaron is very knowledgeable and entertained us all day with stories and information about New Zealand and the Martinborough area. We enjoyed all the stops that Aaron set up for us - the gourmet food and wine we sampled were superb and the lunch was 5 star! I highly recommend Aaron and this tour.Written 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Amber SRoswell, GA494 contributionsWe had an amazing private tour during our honeymoon with Tom! Tom and I emailed back and forth to come up with a somewhat custom tour to visit the Cape Palliser seal colony and then we added in some fantastic stops along the way. He picked us up at the cruise port and took us across the Rimutaka Crossing to Martinborough to Poppies for a delicious wine tasting and the best charcuterie board we have ever had. Then he drove us out to Cape Palliser to see the lighthouse and the seal colony. He even made time to stop by Kaitoke Regional Park where they filmed Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings. Tom even brought his camera to make sure he got some great photos of us during our experiences. We highly recommend taking a tour with Tom!!Written 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

They took care of every detail with such precision and flair that it felt like we had a team of event magicians on our side!
Their customer service was nothing short of extraordinary—responsive, attentive, and always ready with brilliant solutions. The event day was flawlessly executed, thanks to their superb coordination and flawless execution. The whole experience was seamless, stress-free, and truly exceptional.
If you want a team that turns planning into perfection and execution into excellence, look no further than Wildfinder. They made our event unforgettable, and I can’t recommend them highly enough!Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was not clear that my credit card was going to be charged for the ride.
When the driver dropped us off he charged us for the ride (a different and higher price than was quoted online). He said that entering the credit card details online was to secure the booking and I had pay him.
When I checked my credit card account later I noticed that I was charged twice. I sent them an email and it took a while before I got a response. They were going to investigate it and eventually they responded that they were going to return the money. It took 3 weeks before I had my money back.
The taxi ride and driver were fine but they should communicate better with their drivers if a ride is booked and charged online. They should also handle complaints a bit faster: not taking three weeks to rectify an obvious mistake on their side.Written 27 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We came into port on the cruise ship and our guide, Todd, was there waiting - just steps off the ship. He customized the entire day to our interests and likes - we had a few things that we specifically wanted to do (Lord of the Ring sights - and it turned out that Todd was a featured actor in the movie) and then he took us to many sights and landmarks that we would have otherwise never known about. We had lunch at a super cool, local restraunt by the bay and packed in as many sights as possible throughout the area, ending at a fun, local pub. We never felt rushed, and could extend or cut-short our time at any of the stops. It was a PERFECT way to see much of what Wellington has to offer on a very limited, one-day schedule. It was also a relief to not be stressed about getting back to our cruise ship in time -he pulled us right up to the ship without any delay or hassle. On a scale of 1-10, Todd and this company get an 11!Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
