Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I went and saw The Jersey Boys last night and it was fantastic! The production was first rate and the acting/ singing was top notch! Really enjoyable experience. I loved the old Opera House. I found my seat to be comfortable.

This was our drag show experience and I wasnt disappointed ted in the queens at all. The show itself was awesome!
The venue was cool but there was definitely some let downs.
The staff were less than helpful and pretty much served one corner of the bar. Even when you held your money out and waited patiently you still got overlooked! One server was more accommodating and helpful but he didnt arrive until right at the end which was a shame.
The chairs provided were hard an less than comfortable.
Loves that the show was small and intimate which was great for us first times.
Once the show was finished the staff quickly removed all chairs etc.
We were sitting on a couch which we were asked to move from so they could move it.
We left very soon after an moved on to another bar.

The Pyramid Club, situated on Taranaki Street, is what one would call an experimental music and sonic arts venue, where the creative has full expression to create, on a low budget, with a cash bar.

With a stairway entrance and a low stud celling that can cause the space to warm up when crowded, and toilets that are downstairs, away from the venue, and accessed through another door on the ground level, this is the venue.

I was fortune to have the night off work, on a low budget and so went there, to an album release party. Now my association with this fringe venue has been on and off over the years. The alternate music venue had its genesis in Newtown, Wellington, with a place called the Space, it then shifted to upper Tory Street, for a number of years, then found itself in an historical church on Frederick Street, and then to its current location.

The album release party composed two events. The first one was an individual who was into Mongolian throat sounds, overlaid with electronica, in which he subjected the audience to two songs. It led me on a journey, in which I found myself in a toilet, suffering constipation, and the second song was when the relief was obtained from said affliction. The second event was more traditional trance dance sounding, to me, anyhow.

The crowd enjoyed themselves, with all the alternate black attire and the seriousness off it all, and for some with shots of whiskey and rum from hidden sources.
