Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our Martinborough wine and food tour. Our guide was Aaron, who is very passionate and enthusiastic about his backyard and everything it has to offer. Aaron's knowledge of the areas of Martinbrough were informative, travelling to 3 different boutique wine producers to experience the fruits of their labour. We enjoyed our day. Thanks, Aaron!

Earlier this year my wife and I went on this wine tour. Absolutely marvellous! Tom was the perfect host, picking us up from our hotel In Wellington and looking after us superbly throughout the day. We were in New Zealand - visiting from the UK - for several weeks and there were lots of highlights but the Martinborough Wine Tour was right up there - a truly memorable day!

We started the tour at C’est Cheese in Featherston and then on to the Le Gra Vineyard in Masterton - run by Brian and his lovely family - excellent wine and excellent food! After this we went to Greytown Honey - wonderful tasty honey and we couldn’t resist buying some. Then on to Poppies Vineyard in Martinborough - a different experience and some lovely wines. We went back to Wellington via Kaitoke Regional Park where the Rivendell scenes from the Lord of the Rings films were shot. Stunning!

We had a wonderful day that we will never forget. If you are planning to be in the Wellington area for any time at all we strongly recommend that you contact Tom at Kaewa Tours for a memorable experience.

Our travel agent recommended this tour as she knows that we appreciate good food and we are so glad that we heeded her advice! John is very knowledgeable about the food scene in Wellington and had lined up a nice day for us. We started at a coffee roaster where we learned a lot and tasted some amazing coffees, then we had planned stops for Greek and Italian - all of which were interspersed with a few stops with lovely views of the city. It was really nice that John was flexible; he added stops at a wholesale souvenir shop (we would have never found), a seaside ice cream shop, an old art deco theatre and Weta Studios for a quick Lord of there Rings fix.

Fantastic day - 3 wineries for tastings in Martinborough with a great lunch at one of them . Aaron was very informative and nothing was too much trouble . Even did some shopping in Greytown before heading home .

A really wonderful day. Picked up a few minutes early from our Airbnb. Comfortable ride, superb guide who was passionate about the area and the wine. We experienced many nice little touches along the way. Very flexible and super friendly. We’ve done several similar tours and this is one of the best.

Jon provided us with an intimate food tour for just the 2 of us. He was easy to get on with, very knowledgeable about the food and hospitality in wellington. He personalized the tours for us and took us to multiple locations inside and outside the CBD, all the latest fads.
Highly recommended as a relaxing day out, with a knowledgeable and friendly guide.

We couldn't speak highly enough of Helen and her tour. We had a superb day out. First stop was Featherston for coffee and cheese scone, and purchase of delicious cheeses. On to Martinborough for the wineries and lunch. It was all extremely friendly and of course Helen had pre-arranged the visits and knew the staff at the wineries so our visits were more personalised. We would certainly recommend these tours. Kaye and Ian
