Really cool bar. Hard to find up
Up stairs never saw a sign. Small great bartenders selection atmosphere. Volume etc. great. Did not eat there but spent a couple of good hours. Excellent place to meet friends

nice casual and quiet place and comfortable seating, A great place to chill. great selection of drinks
but not much selection when it comes to food. The vibe is 60's to 80's.

Absolutely brilliant tour around Wellington; got us nicely out of the rain! Particularly loved the craft cafe of HUSK - excellent drinks (beer & Coffee) plus fantastic fusion food.

Honestly can't say enough good things about Havana coffee. We've been ordering Havana coffee to our house for some while now - having been recommended by others. And have enjoyed it immensely. So on our recent trip to Wellington we had to wander up and check out the Coffee Works - so glad we did.

We ordered some Super Deluxe blend flat whites which were excellent. Almost - but not quite - as good as the Cuban/Colombian blend we make here at home by ordering those two beans from Havana. I also tried a flat white of the Mexican but confess I found it quite lacking. I'll stick with the Cuban and Colombian.

And I have to also applaud the service. Coffee shop barista service is one of those things we take for granted these days. But the two young ladies serving us were outstanding. Friendly, genuinely interested in our exploration of their coffees and eager to discuss the various coffees available. It's one thing to get a great cup of coffee. it's altogether another to get a great cup of coffee served with a smile and a pleasant chat.

One of the best places in NZ to try different beers. Several local ones on draft plus many more imported on bottle. Staff is very knowledgeable and prices are ok.

We stopped in for a pint of local brew and also enjoyed lunch here. The terrace was sunny and packed full of people but we were lucky to get a seat.

I chose the quesadillas and my partner chose the Reuben sandwich both were exactly as advertised.

The beer was robust the Barman was friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time strongly recommend it because you can also visit the other fun shops in the Hannah’s shoe factory complex – the chocolate shop the peanut butter shop et cetera

A quick sneaky drink on the way home from work with a mate. Great changing range of beer and we tried a whiskey to finish that off.

Friendly staff, very welcoming and bubbly. Great atmosphere. Free bottle of wine for it being my birthday also so that was a bonus! Mechanical bull provided good entertainment too!

Great bar with a huge rage of flavoured spirits. Had the lemongrass and ginger gin and the pink watermelon gin. really tasty although I would probably preferr d with a good quality mixer (where is Fever Tree in NZ except for a he bar next door!)

Our cruise ship docked on a particularly cold, windy (of course!) and wet Saturday morning in Wellington. Walking along Lambton Quay, in a virtually deserted CBD, we espied this haven of tranquility and peace. The fit out for such a small space is wondrous, attesting to the skills of NZ's craftsmen in the rich textured wood, the glass cabinets displaying row upon row of artisanal chocolate delights, beautifully presented, even in the boxed offerings. The female servers were friendly, so polite and super-efficient. Our coffee had us in raptures after the rubbish we endured in Hawaii and - big bonus - they offered a free chocolate of our choice from the many displayed below the cash register. Although we could have had various wraps and muffins, we opted to share a lemon slice and were almost in ecstacy, so good was it! The total cost for two coffees and that melt-in-the-mouth goody? NZ$14.50. Plus another NZ $6.00 for a block of their mint chocolate - perfect as souvenirs provided they survive our covetous need for more.

Went to VK's last ever show for an awesome night of comedy.
After 2 years he has hung up the mic and turned off the lights.
So sad to lose Welly's only permanent comedy spot. Will be sadly missed.

Ivy is the only bar I go to as I feel safe and can watch awesome performers, staff are lovely and they always have a smile (even after a long shift) and I never feel out of place at Ivy. Thank you all and I'll be there this weekend
