What travellers are saying
- fi0naj0nes2012Auckland Central, New Zealand2 contributionsWhat a beautiful place to visit. The birdsong that greets you as you arrive is truly breathtaking. Our guide, Rachel, was so knowledgeable and informative. All the volunteers do an amazing job.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jeffry bEssendon, Australia10,721 contributionsDevonport is located on Auckland's North Shore. This seaside suburb is only 12 minutes from the Auckland CBD. It's well-known for its laid-back lifestyle, and the numerous harbourside bars and restaurants, Devonport was one of the first neighbourhoods settled in the Auckland area, and it's well-known for its heritage charm, Devonport is said to resemble the Californian city of Sausalito. Devonport is the main base for the Royal New Zealand Navy.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ayush45Panipat, India287 contributionsIt is one of the lighthouses in NZ where you can go inside and to the top of the lighthouse. The views are totally worth it. The road to the lighthouse is not good and full of bumps and stones. Drive carefully. Ample parking though. From parking, it is just 10 minutes walk to the lighthouse and you also get a chance to go to the signal platform. Pack your lunch or snacks and have fun. The gate to the lighthouse close at 5 PM.Written 3 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- platypus150Melbourne, Australia25,080 contributionsIt is really all about the views. You have a good look down on the port of Devonport, the beach at Cheltenham, across to Rangitoto island, and South to the city of Auckland. There are some historic items from the naval battery and the walk up is not too hard. You can drive a car up to the top, which you cannot do from Mt Victoria. There are interesting old houses nearby, so I think walking is bestWritten 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tasi A7 contributionsHad this on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to anyone with kids or not to visit this if you have the opportunity. Good walking shoes, water and layer clothing would be a good idea. Loved it!Written 24 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Scott RAuckland, New Zealand19 contributionsAbout an hours drive out of the city, but worth it to check out the awesome scenery and go for a stroll through the caves. There's some great history worth reading up on about the area.Written 17 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Flyer417096433641 contributionMy recent trip to Middle Earth was amazing. Julie and the rest of the team at Red Carpet have worked very hard to put together such an exciting and well thought out tour, a must for any lord of the rings fan. If you're planning a lord of the rings and hobbit tour don't use anyone else - Red Carpet Tours is the way to go.Written 3 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TrevorKatanning, Australia9 contributionsI had an enjoyable morning with 'Local Liz' and another couple walking the sites and learning something of the story of Auckland, past, present and future, with some refreshments and chocolate tasting along the way ending with a delicious lunch at the Sky Tower. Highly recommended!Written 29 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dean C3 contributionsWe traveled a month in NZ and Australia. Brett was our favorite tour guide. Such a wonderful day at amazing places.Written 2 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mackenzie7 contributionsThis is the only shuttle wine tour I have seen in Auckland. An awesome option as you can choose what to pay at each of the venues and saves you money by not having a lunch and tasting included! John was super knowledgeable and we had an excellent afternoon. Would absolutely recommendWritten 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Trisha RAuckland, New Zealand13 contributionsMy husband and I had an incredible e-bike tour with Eddie on Saturday... e-bikes were fun to use, ear phones let us hear Eddie’s knowledge of Auckland - current and past - throughout the whole ride and the photos were a nice, added touch. The tour is a quick few hours... book with Eddie and his team, Power to the Pedal is a blast!Written 6 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Caitlin PWellington, New Zealand11 contributionsWe really enjoyed our tour of Waiheke wineries with Phil. He was a great host, taking us to some excellent wineries, and the whole tour felt very personalised. He knows some great gems on the island, and we even got a little tour of some spots we hadn't been to before. We felt very safe hands with Phil; the whole day was so relaxing - would highly recommend.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rachel R1 contributionI thoroughly enjoyed the trip to and from Matakana Market. Neill was entertaining, friendly and went out of his way to deliver an excellent service. The vehicle was high quality and extremely comfortable. Even though the trip takes around an hour from Auckland, we seemed to arrive in no time!Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- stevelotteMontville, NJ504 contributionsWe were 2 couples and we met Elle in front of the McDonald's in Britomart. Our first tour was the afternoon dessert/snack tour and it was fabulous. It was definitely more than a snack. We walked, to our first stop for honey tasting (Manuka), yummy breads and teas. From here we began our walk around town. We ended back in Britomart area but Elle walked us to a grocery store with a list of treats to buy our grandchildren to try. Our second tour was a morning pick up in a van for a visit to an incredible coffee roastery, then on to shop and sample amazing snacks at Sabato for more honey tasting, jams, then we had a cheese sampling of New Zealand's amazing cheeses. From here we headed to lunch down near the wharf at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious and unique. Elle gave us restaurant suggestions for the rest of our trip. Definitely recommend these tours and working with Elle was nothing leass than a pleasure.Written 1 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Our guide was an exceptionally nice man, our two trip mates were wonderful company and of course we tasted some really great wines. We learnt quite a lot about tasting and food matching too. We can highly recommend this company.Written 15 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
