Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a beautiful trip with plenty of space to go on the boat to Milford. Boat took us everywhere we needed to go, and information over the speaker was helpful

It was an excellent cruise. Skipper Craig was good and funny.
    Tour was also informative.
It would be nice if it rains earlier that morning so we could see more waterfalls..

The whole experience was amazing. Views are spectacular. Staff very helpful. Got some great photos. Not brave enough to do the skywalk or the jump!

Although it is a long round trip, the views from the remote locations and the cruise was well worth the wait and cost. As the weather was good, we were able to experience incredibly scenery on the ground and on the boat. We also took the plane ride back to Queenstown and it was a highly enjoyable flight, as the pilot ensured us the best view and was sociable as well.

Absolutely amazing experience. A very slick organisation. Clean buses, boat and check in area. We saw 2 sperm whales which was an incredible experience. The boat does go quite far out to sea so be prepared for a bumpy ride.

The magic and whimsicality of it all were grand, and our tour guide was AMAZING! I believe her name was Emma, but I could be wrong. When I found out we were going into the hobbit holes, OMG! I about lost my mind! And can we shine some light on the food? The steak and ale pie was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the ginger beer was heaven! The whole experience was one I'll never forget. I'm still on a high from this experience.

Wonderful, once in a lifetime experience.

Even though we went during peak holiday time, the boat didn’t feel over crowded with plenty of space to stretch out across multiple levels + top scenic deck.

Complimentary tea and coffee on board and nice selection of food + beverages to purchase.

The crew really made the cruise special.

They were educational and hilarious !

My 6 year old sons first tooth fell out during our cruise which they must of got wind of and called him over the loud speaker to come down wheel house to collect his surprise from the tooth fairy !! They also let him steer the ship and his sister helper out too !!

A must-see! On the ride to Milford Sound, there are beautiful views of snow capped mountains, reflecting lakes of the mountains, waterfalls and streams, and countryside views of fields and fields of sheep. The Milford Sound cruise is a must. You're surrounded by breathtaking green and rocky snow capped mountains, you'll see waterfalls and seals, and you're taken all the way to the Tasman Sea. The tour van driver was Andy and he was the best. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. On the way back, when we learned of a car accident blocking one of the 2 entrances to Queenstown, Andy handled it like a pro and made sure all of us had what we needed for the extra 3 hours of the detour. I had a great time and it was the best experience of my entire 14-day trip to New Zealand and Australia.

Excellent trip - well organised, comfortable vessel, with friendly and knowledgeable crew. Hamish the skipper was clearly very experienced and provided superb commentary with plenty of information delivered with humour at key points and the two crew members provided great support. The structure of the trip worked well, with a good mix of activities, including island walking and actually sailing through the hole of hole in the Rock! Thoroughly recommended trip.

We chose the Rotorua rafting based on the TripAdvisor ratings and were not disappointed. The whole operation is very efficient and they got large groups of people ready to go on the river quickly and safely. The river is super close but they put you in a shuttle to safely transport everyone together. The guides are all great with positive attitudes and lots of jokes and smiles. We really liked our guide Tom. Very entertaining and confidence inspiring. Definitely recommend him.

The river ride itself doesn’t cover too much distance (1/2 mile) but there is lots to see, explore and experience as you go down the on the raft. The river moves a very high volume of water in a relatively narrow tight space so the rapids are powerful and quite thrilling. The rapids are essentially a series of moderate to large waterfalls, culminating in the “big one” at the end. It’s fun to watch the other rafts go over the falls and enjoy the occasional swim or water fights with other teams. After the run there is a short 5-7 min drive back. There are some hikes available if you want to enjoy more of the river or do some spectating.

This was a fantastic experience, enjoyed by all. Our guide, Kyle, was particularly entertaining while sharing his knowledge of the caves and flow worms. And when he sang in the “Cathedral”, it was amazing!
