Upon arrival at the Willie Creek shopfront in Elizabeth Quay, we were greeted by Sara with beautiful smiles. My Husband & I sat in the “expert booth” (with some lovely sparkling wine) to listen to Sara’s very informative facts on Willie Creek Pearl farm & how they came to be. While watching an awesome old video of how Pearling divers collected the Pinctada maxima, we were treated to a delicious tasting of the Pearl meat (incredible taste!) After learning a thing or two about how truely amazing the art of Pearling is, it was time for me to Harvest my own Pearl…! Once Sara opened the oyster, inside we found a cute little crab & she pointed out the main organs of the once living oyster. It was then time to hunt & POP out the Pearl. I am so thrilled I got to harvest out a very unsuspecting find of a 16mm Pearl! It was simply breathtaking to witness such beauty coming from the Pinctada maxima first hand. True to their disclaimer of the harvest your own experience, I was offered store credit to choose a beautiful piece of pre made jewellery, as the beauty I popped out had a significant value for Willie Creek Pearls. I can honestly recommend that anyone who loves Pearls gives the harvest experience a go. The place was crowded and messy. But i kind of enjoyed it. The Farmers Market on Manning is very popular with bargain hunters. Finding the correct parking block (right under the cinema) took days of detective work & the direction signage really needs to be improved. By the time I walked out I was the proud owner of a perfectly fitting Akubra Hat and with the knowledge on how to maintain and take care of my new Hat.

I also love the other kennedy's Honey products the beeswax candles are stunning and burn for significantly longer than other candles. The nappy cream is amazing, I use it on our newborn and it's perfect for sensitive skin. Have also been using it to treat dry skin on other body parts.

The food is awesome - we came for breakfast and had some yummy fusion food. Think kimchi pork with scrambled eggs, grilled prawns with papaya salad.
