Stunning sunsets over the Indian Ocean every night. People enjoying it from the bar, grassed areas and the beach itself. Plenty of four wheel drives parked on the beach too. A relaxing experience.

Great 3 hour tour. Excellent pick up and drop off service. Engaging and interactive croc experience with friendly guides. The best part was guide Gabby who was an excellent tour guide with some good stories about Broome in general.

A fun movie experience I’d highly recommend. We were able to take our own picnic and saw a great sunset before the movie started

We received nothing but great help and advice at the Broome Visitor Centre and were able to visit a few highlights of our stay there through their good work.

We enjoyed seeing and reading about the history of Broome. The photos and items are well presented. Pearl Luggers and divers, the war years, dinosaur history, shells, communication - all is explained well and worth seeing.

Town Beach is lovely spot to wander around and take in some history. The area has been landscaped, there's a lovely cafe, children's playground, an interesting artwork of silhouettes with stories of WW2 survivors, and the remains of an early cemetery. Walk down to the end of the jetty to spot turtles popping their heads up. Based on all the warning signs I don't think beach itself is really for much swimming although did see several people wading when the tide was in.

This was closed two days after our visit due to a rock collapse. Lots of people were there during our visit 2pm. Water levels were much higher than we expected. This is not for people who are claustrophobic.

    Broome scooter hire.
Hired 2 scooters to run around Broome. Very easy riding!
Amazing service! Came and collected us from our accommodation, explained how to use and stay safe on scooter. Great scooters in immaculate condition. At end of hire, we dropped scooters at their garage, they took us back to hotel to collect bags then on to airport. Amazing customer service. So helpful and a joy to deal with! Highly recommend!

This quirky little church is worth the trip. The use of local materials, especially pearl shell is lovely. This is a church that is clearly part of the community and reflects its people.

Comprehensive exhibition, mainly photos and documents, that explained the history of Catholic Sisters in education and medical assistance in the Dampier Peninsula. Sheds much light on many topics. Well worth visiting. Helpful staff. Garden also worth seeing.

Coming from Roebuck Bay, we alighted the Broome Explorer opposite the Recreation Centre and walked back towards the main road to visit the Japanese Cemetery.

There was some information about the Japanese Cemetery with a mention of a large stone obelisk of those lost in the 1908 cyclone. Hence, when I came to a monument that stood out, I knew that was it although there were no English words inscribed. It would be better though if there was a small board stating as such as I am sure many people would not have realised its significance.

(Regardless, it was much better than the Chinese Cemetery which had absolutely zero information which was rather sad. It had a beautiful Chinese gate at the entrance but nothing more.)

Of interest were headstones in English towards the back of the Japanese Cemetery of a family of 3; Kakio Matsumoto (a diver), his wife Mary Ellener Matsumoto nee Corpos (Aboriginal Filipino descent) and their son, Eichi Matsumoto. I was intrigued by this family and googled them up and I found a 11 min film was done in 2004 of Kakio narrated by his grandson.

Make sure you walk all the way to the end and visit the Catholic section where the Sisters of St John of God are laid to rest. There is a Celtic Cross erected in 1912 by the Japanese in memory of Sister Mary Immaculate Leahy who died as a result of her duties as a nursing sister at the Japanese Hospital.

Worth coming for a visit to appreciate Broome's past pearling history and culture.
