Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- 55FoodieMelbourne, Australia140 contributionsGreat place to experience the outdoors. Bring good walking shoes. Keep to the paths. Enjoy a BBQ first or picnic and then off you go.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- smiler1956Birmingham, UK605 contributionsToured the street with my wife, as part of a side street tour from my guide book. This street is part of a U-shaped walk depicting modern street art on the walls of the buildings and backs of restaurants. The huge murals are very impressive, although it is a shame that some vandals have defaced the art with simple "tags".Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rhonda SSunbury, Australia33 contributionsAn amazing hidden gem in East Melbourne Victoria Australia. Our experience from the booking to leaving was exceptional. Our guide Sue was wonderful and kept us enthralled with the wealth of information about the property and its treasures. We were allowed to photograph items but definitely not touch anything which was fine as it needs to be preserved for future generations. The tour is an hour and a half and has some very steep stairs to climb, so be mindful if attending and you cannot do stairs. Upstairs was brilliant and we loved every minute of the tour. It is something to go see for sure. Courtesy bus ride from the Pullman Hotel and dropped at the door. Excellent little touch. Ladies at the property were so polite courteous and knowledgeable. Upon finishing the tour there is a small gift shop which is quaint and well laid out.
I went with two girlfriends and we all loved it. The items on display change three times a year so will be going back for sure. There is so much to see in this museum that is pa Jed into what was this gentleman’s home. Great experience. A definite must do if in the area. Cost is very much in one’s budget and bear in mind this is not and I repeat NOT a child friendly place. Items are hundreds of years old and not replaceable. There are no rope guides and they rely on you NOT touching things as you walk through the home. It’s an eyes only place. But boy my eyes boggled at the items.Written 11 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Manisha M1 contributionMy daughter (14) and her friends enjoyed the puzzles and props in the room “ Cluemanji” .
They weren’t able to Escape the room , but certainly did leave with a memorable experience and loads of fun.
Thanks for the team to make it easy and entertaining for the kids.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The “Finding Gold” exhibit was experiential and interactive; you could touch everything and the floor moved to add to the feeling of being on the ship bound for Australia. Kids would have fun and learn heaps here. Up on level 3, the 200 years of history is more geared toward readers, though there is one video. I learned the stories of prominent Chinese Australians, the timeline of immigration, and methods used by European Australians to keep the Chinese out. Take an hour and check it out.Written 18 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chloe henderson1 contributionWe enjoyed immensely speaking with Alexis, who was extremely knowledgeable on Aboriginal art history. This was the most extensive collection of Aboriginal art that we saw on our journeys throughout Australia.

- glentroDarwin, Australia177 contributionsVisited this spa for the first time when visiting Melbourne. Lovely ambience and staff. Like stepping into Japan. I started with a blossom scrub treatment with Natalya. High quality caring massage.
My next hour was spent with EE. The exceptionally talented reflexologist. He was amazing. By far the best reflexology I have ever had. Pressure points knowledge and technique were on a whole different level. My feet and legs felt amazing after the treatment. I couldn’t recommend him high enough.
The whole 2 hours were perfect. Lovely quiet rooms and professional staff.Written 24 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I go in the morning so the cats are full of energy, and they climb all over you if you open the treat box. There toilet inside too so is very convenient. Staff volunteer there are very friendly, when you first enter there might be a chance you get greet by a professional cat with a colorful tiny tie on it.Written 30 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julian B11 contributionsAs jewellery shops go, this is by a land slide the best I've ever been into. The thing is, its not just a jewellery store, it's drenched in history, family run with heaps of character.
Upon arrival to the store you'll be shown the different types of Opals with a very informative introduction to the history and grading. Shout out to Stuart, who really took the time to show me around the store. Loved every second. Also to Kira for being so welcoming.
This is as much an attraction as a jewellery store. The pieces are stunning, and from what I was told they have some of the best in the city.
I must mention Stumpy the lizard, who I can only assume is the mascot.
Thank you both for your time and patience, I will definitely be returning sometime soon.Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
