Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Perry BSydney, Australia2,625 contributionsI found Southern Cross Station to be a superb hub, and one which rendered my transport experiences pleasurable, which is often not the case in various cities. The Bus bays for departures to and arrivals from Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport were clearly marked.Written 23 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amy J1 contributionWe took the Ferry from Docklands to Portarlington and back for the Mussel festival. The trip was brilliant and staff were lovely. The times had to be changed due to a ferry being unavailable, and that was managed very well and professionally by Port Philip Ferries. Unfortunately one of our group jumped the gun and commented negatively about this change and I’ve just found a phone message from the company offering further apologies and explanation, which was unnecessary but demonstrates the level of service. We’re now considering future ferry adventures given the enjoyable day and ease of travel.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark GMelbourne, Australia1,735 contributionsWas a great stadium for the concert. The roof was closed in about 20 minutes when the rain came down midway through the concert. Patience is needed to exit.Written 17 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- C...Gippsland, Australia94,952 contributionsThe Skybus is on par with most places in the world- it offers a consistent service to the airport throughout the day.
Their staff are professional- courteous and helpful. The service continues to get busier over time which means they need to adapt with the times- and they have. Kiosks line Southern Cross that are easy to follow enabling you with a self serve option.
Other than the inevitable confusion as you arrive at the airport and the customers appear baffled with the departure options... this service always runs well.Written 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. $15/pair to resharpen blades at the shop. They have discount cards for repeat customers and as I had 3 pairs sharpened that day, they gave me a discount on the spot and I only paid $37.
