Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Maribyrnong River is Melbourne's second river. It is especially important to people in the north and west of the city. The river rises in the Macedon Ranges, near Gisborne. Early explorers called it the Saltwater River, but it was renamed. The name "Maribyrnong" is derived from the language of the Wurundjeri people. It may mean "I can hear the sound of a ringtail possum" or "salty river." The Maribyrnong River plays host to many indigenous animals and waterbirds. Dolphins are somtimes sighted in the lower reaches of the river. A trip along the Maribyrnong River is always rewarding. The view over the river valley from Avondale Heights takes in the city of Melbourne in the distance.

We did the Highlights Tour (A & B) which travelled upstream to South Yarra, then downstream to the Port of Melbourne. It was nice to see parts of Melbourne from a different perspective (from the river). Upstream you cruise under some lovely historical bridges. There is an informative commentary along the journey and you get some fantastic views of the city.

Went on the Great Ocean Road Tour today with our guide, Mark. It was an early morning 1 day trip and well worth it. Mark was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really appreciated the history of each location we visited. He was also very precise and detailed about each stop. We appreciated the coffee/tea and snack provided too! We highly recommend, as the coastline is spectacular!

The views were amazing as you don’t usually get to experience Melbourne from the river. The driving was super easy and we didn’t need to worry about ferrys as they moved out of the way. We took one with a canopy but if you choose one without a canopy you can go to dock lands instead of south Yarra.

Relaxing and informative way to spend an hour along the Yarra. Beautiful old boat with comfortable seating.

My husband went on the 2 night Grampians tour. Unlike other times when he goes out on the trails ill-equipped this time I was able to enjoy peace and quiet at home for the weekend whilst he was off running on the tour. I didn’t need to stress about him getting lost/injured in the middle of nowhere or not having the appropriate safety equipment as Trailbus is fully equipped with the knowledge, tools and insurance to help if things don’t go to plan. Husband was returned safely in one piece with a reinvigoration for life and running. I got the weekend to myself at home without judgement of my choice in television viewing. Highly recommend!

Went down to Melbourne on our 6 year anniversary and we wanted to do something unique and magical and that's what we got with Venice on the Yarra. Got the romance package and we were both woowed with the amazing scenic views and quient ambience. Your guide was very knowledgeable with Melbourne's history and definitely made our gondola ride that much better. Was an amazing experience

Caught the Elizabeth Anne from Southbank to AAMI Park on Thursday night and suggest it is the best way to travel to a venue in the Olympic park region; all of the the staff were friendly and the boat was spotless. We also booked a return trip which was great way to get back to town after the event.
