Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Hawaii50Toowoomba, Australia1,177 contributionsWe did the Highlights Tour (A & B) which travelled upstream to South Yarra, then downstream to the Port of Melbourne. It was nice to see parts of Melbourne from a different perspective (from the river). Upstream you cruise under some lovely historical bridges. There is an informative commentary along the journey and you get some fantastic views of the city.Written 13 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nkkkk20241 contributionI hired a boat for my birthday. I wanted to have some protection from the sun and wind, it was a great choice for that day.
We spent great two hours on Yarra. The boat is very quite, comfortable, very easy to navigate.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s incredibly simple to drive and navigate. The staff were extremely helpful and instructive. I would recommend packing a picnic and bringing an esky (you can also hire)

We also booked a return trip which was great way to get back to town after the event.Written 21 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SummooreAscot Vale, Australia6 contributionsGary was an absolute gentleman. Didn't try to upsell me - in fact helped me find an option that suited my needs...and then surpassed them on arrival! Thank you. And Jeremy at the dock was relaxed and helpful and friendly. We were a bit of a nightmare customer, booking last minute and then turning up late. These guys treated us like royalty. The boat ride through the city - which we'd done before on the ones that start closer in - was way better. Coming in from Docklands is much more fun and you still get to go all the way through the city, even with only one hour. We'll come back with friends and do a two hour - we had a great time.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,601 contributionsThe Yarra's Edge and Marina is a mooring place for luxury yachts. It's alongside the ultra-modern Webb Bridge, which is structured to resemble the eel traps used by indigenous fishermen at the entrance of the Yarra River before white colonists arrived. It was once the swinging basin for interstate ships fot the Port of Medlbourne.Written 1 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
