- FoodnTravelreviewsAustralia628 contributionsVery reliable service. Given the lack of options from Melbourne airport the sky bus is one of the best ways to get to the CBD. They are frequent and easy to book on the app. It is reliant on Melbourne traffic through so you need to allow yourself plenty of time in case the sky bus is stuck due to peak hour or an accident. As far as I know they don't have access to emergency lanes to get anyone to the airport so you're stuck! Sometimes it's very difficult to hear and understand the drivers particularly over the noise of the bus so it would be good if they had screens that tell passengers where the bus is stopping. The only problem I have is as a Vline user, I get the sky bus into southern cross and the bus depot is at the very opposite end of the vline platforms. Vline trains run hourly on some lines which means even if I get into the station by the time i hustle over to platform 16 I still miss the train and then have to wait another hour. Given the infrequency of vline services it would be amazing if one day we can get dropped off closer to those far platforms. I would thoroughly recommend their service. Sunny got me sorted out quickly and Raj found me in the airport to get me on my way to Wollongong. He was very flexible with the daily itinerary for the 4 days road trip and airport transfers. Vehicle was clean and comfortable for 8 pax with luggages. A bit difficult to find to pickup point at the Airport. Could do with a better sign post. Communication before the trip was detailed and thorough. Emails were comprehensive and answered promptly and everyone I spoke to was helpful and communicative.
I cannot say enough about our personable and engaging chauffeurs, George and Shadhid. They are to be commended for their high standard of professionalism and outstanding customer service. It was a pleasure beginning and ending our fantastic week in Melbourne being driven in their immaculate, luxurious Mercedes.


I highly recommend Limomate for anyone looking for a luxury chauffeur service in Melbourne. So professional and accommodating with a good sense of humour. The limo was clean, well kept and just what we wanted.
We had the limousine for most of the day at a good rate.

You will be connected conveniently; the WiFi service is free. Avalon Airport is south of Melbourne, it's developing as an important airport for Australia. The SkyBus runs from Southern Cross Station, around the clock.
