Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely Heritage building in Carlton Gardens in the heart of Melbourne, the building was built between 1879 to 1880 as an Exhibition building. We could not gain entry to the building, the building looks a little tired & could have a new paint job.

Enjoyed both a walk around the grounds as well as taking in the sun on the grass. Was fairly busy with walkers and sunseekers alike, and very easy to access via the tramline.

A pleasant green space not far from Melbourne University this parkland is around the size of a small city block and doesn't have any special reason to visit it. It is however a nice enough slice of greenery and appeared quite clean upon my visit, not festooned with rubbish or random homeless people.

Part of Argyle Gardens, Carlton's Piazza Italia is an outdoor square that hosts special events in the area. It's a really pretty space with gorgeous illuminated Christmas decorations in it. It is located on the iconic Lygon Street so it's a lovely place to go for a walk through after you have eaten in one of the nearby eateries.

It offers a green space that fits naturally into the landscape of the area. It is a lovely place to visit. My sister and I walked here admiring the decorations after eating dinner recently.

University Square runs between Gratan St and Pelham St . It is adjacent to the Melbourne Law School. The area is quite large but is pleasant without being spectacular. It's part of the University of Melbourne that's south of Grattan St.

Macarthur Square is a park situated in Melbourne's inner city. There is a statue, mature shady trees and grass to take a stroll or have a picnic. The period houses add to the ambiance. Macarthur Square is a pocket od calm in busy Carlton, which is known as Melbourne's "Little Italy"

Murchison Square is a small park in Carlton, near the northern section of Carlton Gardens. It runs off Canning Street, near Carlton Street. Murchison Square provides welcome open space in this heavily built-up inner-city area of Melbourne.
